特別）「きもので街歩き」コアラ卒業生が参加の報告（Walking in town wearing Kimono)

「着物と川崎の魅力　世界へ」　と題して東京新聞５月１２日に掲載されました。

みやうち着物学院の尾崎弘子学院長が企画された江戸時代の着物を着て街歩きをするイベントです。　外国人に着物の良さや川崎の魅力を知って欲しい！と頼まれました。　コアラ卒業生数人に声をかけて４家族１０名が参加しました。　

江戸時代の着物は豪商の妻、町娘、忍者、新選組がありました。　自分の好きな着物を選びました。　１～３歳までコアラに来ていた子供達も小学生です。　久しぶりに会いました。

着物を着たまま、レストランで食事をしたり、公園に行ったり、お寺めぐりなどしました。　暑い日でしたが楽しかったです。　

川崎大師寺に続くなかみせ通りを通ると通行人に見られました。「写真を撮らせて下さい」と見知らぬ人に言われていました。

Title "Fascination of Kimono and Kawasaki to the World" was published by Tokyo News Paper on May 12.  Mrs Hiroko Ozaki, a founder of Miyauchi Kimono school planed to walk the town(Kawasaki Daishi area) wearing Edo period Kimono.  Mrs Ozaki said to me that she wanted foreigners to wear Kimono and knew a town of Kawasaki.  Then, former Koala member of 4 families 10 persons gathered.

There are kimono for a wife of merchant, city girl, ninjya and shinsengumi costumes.
Everyone chose kimono they wanted to wear. 
Children used to come to Koala when they were 1~3 years old and now they are primary school pupils.  I didn't see them for a long time.
We went to the restaurant to have lunch and strolled in the park and temple in Kimono.

At the Kawasaki Daishi temple, unknown people stared us in wonder and asked to take photo.

５月１０日平和公園ピクニックの報告（Picnic to Heiwa Park)

一昨日から３月並みの寒さが続いています。　朝から小雨模様、お昼には晴れるとの天気予報。　「さて、どうしようか？　誰か来るのかな～？？　こんな時、代表は行かなければならない。　３０分待って誰も来なかったら、帰ろう！！」
傘をさして６人が集まりました。

寒いし小雨で公園に行く気にはなれず、平和記念館ツアーを申し込みました。授乳室、オムツ替えの部屋も使用許可されました。 パンフレットを貰い、展示を見ました。　子供達は走り回り、１階から２階までの展示を見て回りました。
参加者より「ここに平和記念館がある事も知らなかった。　初めて館内に入った。　広くてきれいね～」などの感想がありました。

It continued the cold like March season on the day before yesterday.  The weather forecast announced it would be fine this afternoon but it is drizzling rain from the morning. I was thinking "Now, what shall I do?  Who will come?  In this case, a leader have to go.  I will wait for someone for 30 minutes and leave."
Six mothers and children came walking under an umbrella to Heiwa Kan．We hesitated to move to the Heiwa Park because of cold and drizzle.  We took tour of Heiwa Kinen kan(Peace Museum) instead of picnic at the park.  The facilities equipped with a room for breast-feeding and a diaper-changing for babies.  We got it's pamphlets and took a tour from first floor to second floor to see display.  Children were running around us.
Participants said, "I didn't know about Kawasaki Peace Museum so far.  This is the first time to enter this building.  Wow, here is a spacious and beautiful."
