４月１１日手形・足形アートの報告（Hand/foot print art)

お天気は良かったのですが、幼稚園のお迎えの時間が早い為、来てもすぐに帰る人が多かったですね。
コアラの会計から「キットパス（インク）と画用紙」を買いました。　係の田部井さん、鴨川さんがその他の色鉛筆、ペン、クレヨン、シール、マスキングテープなどを用意して下さいました。　事前準備もされたそうで、ありがとうございました。

子供達の靴下を脱がせて素足にキットパスを塗り、水をかけて、画用紙に押し付けます。　子供は自分に何が起こっているのか分からず、神妙な顔をしていました。
くすぐったくて足の指を曲げている子供もいました。　水をかけられ泣き出す子供もいました。　カラフルでとても綺麗なアート作品が出来上がりました。
ライザさんがフィリピンの妹さんご家族を連れて来られたので、皆で一緒に遊びました。

石川さんは「何か手伝うことがありますか？」と尋ねられ、入会と同時に「新規受付／会費集金係」に決まりました。

フィリピンのお土産のお菓子を皆でいただき、コアラの会を終わりました。

■April 11th: Hand/foot print art

It was a nice sunny day, but many people had to leave early to pick up children from kindergarten.

Kitpas (ink) and drawing paper were bought from the KOALA account.

Ms. Tabei and Ms. Kamogawa, in charge of this event, brought other useful tools such as color pencils, pens, crayons, stickers, and masking tapes.

They had done other preparations for this event; thank you so much for your dedication.

We made the children take off their socks to put the ink on their bare feet, put water on, then press them onto the drawing paper.

The children looked confused since they couldn't understand what they were going through.

Some of them curled their feet because they felt the process tickling.

Some children cried when water was put onto their feet.

Colorful and beautiful art work was created.

Ms. Raiza brought her sister's family visiting from the Philippines to the event.

We all played together.

４月４日オリエンテーションの報告（Orientation)

私は１９９０年から日本語ボランティアをしています。　ご主人たちは日本での仕事など日本が好きで勉強しますが、奥さんたちは必ずしもそうではありません。　結婚した相手について来ただけで日本に来る事になるとは思ってもいませんでした。　でも日本で暮らしていく以上、日本の事を知らないと暮らしていけません。　赤ちゃんが生まれるともっと大変な事になります。　社会から孤立してしまいます。　１９９６年１月に「国際子育てひろばコアラ」を作りました。　２３年間に４０か国の親子がコアラに参加しました。　「日本に来て良かった！」と笑顔で過ごして欲しいです。

代表は書類の提出、外部との連絡など裏方の事務をやります。　楽しいイベントは若いママ達で考えて下さい。　なので年間スケジュールは立てていません。　イベントを担当して皆を動かした方が楽しいですよ。　思い出に残ります。

敬虔なクリスチャンですのでお産まじかの会員はお祈りをしてもらっています。

■April 4th: Orientation

<Orientation from the Founder>

Founder: Ms. Etsuko Yonezawa

Volunteer staff: Ms. Belen Nakano (Philippine),Rinnet Imai(Cambodia)

 
I have been a Japanese language volunteer since 1990.

I feel the husbands can study Japanese for their jobs and have more chances to enjoy Japan, but not necessarily the wives.

They just married their loved ones and probably never thought that they'd have to come to Japan.

But now that they have to live in Japan, they must learn about the country in order to get along.

This becomes more difficult after having a baby.

They may become isolated from society.

I established this International Parents and Infants Cross Cultural Group "KOALA" in January, 1996.

Parents and children from 40 countries have joined this group in 23 years.

I wish everyone will feel "I'm glad I came to Japan!" and spend their time here in smiles.

 

The Founder (myself) will be in charge of behind-the-scenes tasks, such as submitting documents and communicating with external organizations.

The fun events will be planned by the participating young mothers.

So we have no yearly schedule.

It's fun to be in charge of events and move others yourself.

Your experience shall become especially memorable.

*Ms. Belen (volunteer staff): child is an alumni of KOALA; now in high school. Takes care of Philippino families and helps out with English activities. Sometimes brings treats. A devout Christian so can offer prayers to pregnant members approaching their babies' due dates.

*Ms. Rynet (volunteer staff): children are alumni of KOALA; now in third grade (girl) and first grade (boy). Takes care of Cambodian families, can introduce cultures of Cambodia and Saudi Arabia.

3月28日花見会の報告（Cherry Blossom Viewing)

 昨日の暖かさで一気に咲いた桜の花。　ちょうど見ごろとなりました。今日はちょっと寒いですね。　卒業生のはなちゃん、ハル君、ユキ君、あおいちゃんもお友達を連れて、お花見会に参加してくれました。　はなちゃんは背が伸びて美しいお姉さんになっていました。　びっくり！！

リネットさんたち外国人会員5人は自治会館前に早く着いたのに誰もいないので二ヵ領用水のさくらの下でお花見をしたそうです。　合流出来ず残念でした。
自治会館前ひろばには12組の親子が集まりました。　

ライザさんの手作りチョコクッキー、ラバブさんのライスのスィーツ（インド）、米澤代表から四国・香川県の文旦（ぶんたん・みかん）を皆で食べました。　美味しかったね～。　有難うございました。

お腹いっぱいになると次は運動です。　子供達は走り出しました。　花を摘んだり、虫を見つけたり、良く遊びました。

最後の人は2時半まで遊んでいました。　疲れました。

The cherries were in magnificent bloom because of yesterday's high temperature.  It was the best time to see.  Today is a bit cold.  Welcome graduates Hana chan, Haru kun, Yuki kun, Aoi chan and their friends to our cherry blossom viewing party.  I was surprised to see Hana chan became a beautiful girl.

Rinet san and other foreign members arrived Jichikaikan mae early but nobody was there.  They moved to Nikaryouyousui(river) under the cherry blossom.  I was very sorry we couldn't get together.  Mothers and child of 12 pairs gathered in front of the Jichikaikan mae.

We shared chocolate cookies by Rizza san, Indian Rice sweet by Rababu san and Buntan/orange from Kagawa Pref. by Yonezawa.  Those were so delicious!  Thank you for sharing us.

After children satisfied the appetite, they wanted to run around the place.  They enjoyed picking flowers, finding insects.  The last one played until 2:20.  Fatigue!!

３月７日お別れ会の報告（Send-off party)

今年のコアラ卒業生は１２名です。　うち５名は「用事があり参加出来ずに残念です」とメールが来ました。　兄弟と一緒に来ていた会員はコアラでの思い出など感想も書いて下さいました。　雨の中、２１組の母子が集まり卒業生をお祝いしました。

＊めるちゃん；
ママとお揃いの服、イベントに合わせた服で盛り上げてくれました。初めの頃はママから離れられず顔だけ出していましたね。慣れてくると部屋を走り回っていました。
ママの前では弱い自分、一人になると結構強い子です。安心して下さい。３月にはアフリカ・マリ共和国に行きます。帰国後の報告会が楽しみ。いつでも相談にのるよ。
＊カイリ君；
お兄ちゃんと一緒に赤ちゃんの時から来ました。あやすと声を出して笑い、離れると大泣きして私を困らせました。ちょっとおどけて、ポーカーフェースの所もありますが自分の思った事はやり通す子です。
＊あおいちゃん；
お兄ちゃんが二人いるのでとても活発です。よく怪我もします。ちょっと早熟かな～？
お話も良くしてくれました。家族の中で一番下なので甘える事が上手です。ケンカは負けていませんでした。
＊ザンダーユキ君；
コアラの中で一番大きい子。もっと体を使って遊びたいのに相手不足でした。机や椅子の移動など手伝ってくれました。大変助かりました。　ありがとう！幼稚園の園庭で思い切り遊んで下さいね。
＊ハルトラ君；
１月入会で３月卒業です。話しかけると大きな目でじっと見つめていました。
＊くるみちゃん；
４月に入会、休みが多かったのですが６回来てくれましたね。可愛いお雛様になれたね。
＊バツゥルちゃん；
５月から帰国中の３回を除いて毎回参加してくれました。音楽をかけると自然と体が動いていました。ダンスが大好きな女の子。「こども未来フェスタ」では世界のファッションショーと英語であそぼうで大活躍。とても可愛かったよ。

お兄ちゃんと一緒に来ましたがママのふところにいました。久しぶりにコアラに来て歩いていたので驚いた事を思い出しました。
＠カイ君；
ハロウィンパーティの仮装で１年目が「でんでんむし」２年目が「蜘蛛」と独創的なママの手作りに嫌々ながら付き合っていましたね。「蜘蛛」は優勝しました。カイ君の希望通りにママが動いてくれないのでイライラすることもあったね。自立した子になれるよ。
＠みいちゃん；
４月入会。最初の頃は来ていたけど、妹が生まれるので来られなくなったのかな？
こども未来フェスタ・世界のファッションショーではハワイの衣装で舞台に出ました。
＠ケンノスケ君；
４月に入会。４回しか参加出来ませんでした。お誕生会でママに「笑顔ニッ―」の掛け声で何回も笑顔になりましたね。
＠リンタロウ君；
４月に入会。６回参加してくれました。消防自動車に乗りましたね。

「２０１８こども未来フェスタ」の時、尾崎弘子さんが「素晴らしかった！」とお祝金を下さいました。　そのお金でパーティー用の果物を買いました。　宮島さん、準備して下さり有難うございました。　みんな、お腹いっぱい食べましたね。
尾崎さんにはお礼の色紙を書きました。　

誕生会：
さきちゃん、２歳　お誕生日おめでとうございます。　コアラからお誕生日カードとコアラメダルを差し上げます。　みんなで「ハッピーバースデー」の歌を歌ってお祝いしましょう。
さきちゃんは驚いた顔でみんなをジッと見つめていました。入会したばかりなので知らない人ばかり。不思議の世界に・・・

友達の堤さんの感想：
ママ達が隣に座った人と話していて安らいだ良い顔をしている。　この場所でストレスを解消し英気を養っているのね。　子供達は部屋中を走り回り、汗をかいている。　何を考えているのかな～？　すみっこで食べてばかりいる子もいる。　ここは自由ですね。　若いママ達にとってコアラは必要な場所ですね。
コアラを続けなければいけないね。　よく頑張っている米澤さんに感動したよ！！

Koala graduates are 12 this year and out of 5 can't attend the ceremony.  Some of them send the memories of their early days in Koala.  Twenty one couples of mother and child gathered in the rain.

*Meru;
Meru and her mom were both wearing the same dresses and Meru wore seasonal dress for Koala event.  She was always hiding behind her mom in the early time.  After she became familiar with Koala environment, she was running around in the room.  Meru shows herself vulnerable in front of her mom but she is strong enough to be alone.  Don't worry.  Her family will go to the Republic of Mali soon.  We are looking forward your report.  Whenever you are facing with difficulties, let me know.
*Kairi;
Mom took his brother when Kairi was a baby.  I used to make him laugh by playing peekaboo with it.  When I left him he cried in a loud voice which made me embarrassed.  He often made us laugh with funny gestures.  I believe he carries out what he has decided to do.
*Aoi;
She is an active girl because of two brothers and easy to get hurt.  She is a little bit mature than average.  She talked to me a lot and is good at making up to her parents.  She never lose a quarrel.
*Zander Yuki;
He is a biggest boy and wants to move around physically a lot.  Unfortunately, he might not satisfied with.  Yuki always helped to putting in order desks and chairs. Thank you!!  You can play with all your might at your preschool.
*Harutora;
Enter in Jan. and leave in March.  When I spoke to him, he gazed fixedly at me with his big eyes.
*Kurumi;
Entered in April and came to Koala 6 times.  Could you be a cute Ohina sama in March?
*Batul;
Entered in May.  She attended every events except 3 times while she returned to her country, India.  Whenever she heard music, her body moved spontaneously.  She loves dancing.  She had a good job at the World Fashion Show and Play in English at the Nakahara Word office.  She is so cute.
Absentee:

She was nestling in her mother's arms when she came to Koala with her brother.  I was surprised to see her walking since it was for the first time in a while.
@Kai;
His first year of Halloween Costume was "Snail" and second year was "Spider" which was awarded the grand prize in Halloween Costume contest.  He was irritated with his mother's creativity.  He will think of becoming independent when he reaches at his teenage.
@Mi;
Entered in April and attended 4 times.  I was wondering why she couldn't come to Koala because of her sister was born.  She was on the stage wearing Hawaiian dress at the World Fashion Show.
@Kennosuke;
Entered in April and attended 4 times.  At the birthday party, he smiled many times when his mom said "smile Ni~"
@Rintaro;
Entered in April and attended 6 times.  He got in a Fire Truck when we visited the Nakahara Fire Station in Feb.

Who?
Zandar Yuki; He came to Koala in the hot day, cold day and rainy day.  It's important to keep healthy.

Lunch time;
We are getting hungry at 11:30.
When we attended "2018 kodomo mirai Festa", Mrs. Hiroko Ozaki was impressed by our performance and gave us congratulations money.  We decided to use that money on this event.  Miyajima san bought various fruits.  Thank you for your preparation.
Are all of you satisfied with a lot of dishes?  We wrote "Thank you note" for Mrs. Ozaki.

Birthday Party:
Saki 2 years old girl.  Happy Birthday to you!  Give you Koala Birthday card and Koala Medal.  Let sing a song "Happy Birthday to you" together.
Saki gazed around us with astonishing face.  She doesn't know anyone since she just joins Koala.  Saki in the Wonderland?

Impression from Tutumi san:
Moms seems to set their mind at ease to chat with friend next to her.  They are getting rid of stress and store up their energy at Koala.  Children are running round the room pouring with sweat.  What are they thinking?  There are a child who keep eating something.  It's freedom here!!  Koala is an essential place for them.  Yonezawa san, you should continue on Koala.  She was deeply affected by Koala activity.
