2013年12月1日より法律が変わり、自転車に乗る時のルールが変わりました。
The Rules for Bicycles have been changed by law on Dec. 1, 2013.
自転車で道路の右側を通ると3か月以下の懲役又は5万円以下の罰金です。
When you pass the right side of the road by your bicycle, you receive a sentence of a 3-months or below prison or a fine of ￥50,000yen or less.

２月１３日バレンタインデイ：パパに贈るカードを作るの報告（Valentine Day Card for Papa)
今日は曇り空、今にも雪が降りそうな寒さで参加者も今までで一番少ない１０組の親子だった。
フィリピン出身の山下さん親子が９：５０に来て、私と一緒にマット出しを手伝ってくれた。
コアラ連絡メールでは「子供の写真、厚紙、ペン、シールなど家にある物を持ってきて下さい。」と書いてありました。 会員はカードを作る為にスタンプや絵柄切り抜きのパンチなど持って来ました。 コアラからシール、厚紙、折り紙、テープなどを用意しました。
どんなカードが出来上がったかな？
世界に一つしかない愛する娘や息子が作ってくれたバレンタインカード。 パパはさぞかし喜ぶでしょうね。 ♡ ♡ ハッピー バレンタインデー ♡ ♡

Philippine,Yamashita san with her daughter came to Koala at 9:50 and helped me to bring the mats.
Koala mail showed "what to bring: your child's photos, color paper, pens, stickers etc."
Members brought their stamp (seal) and a punch. Koala provided stickers, thick color paper, origami and tape.
What card are you completing? This is only one Valentine Card in the world that your loved daughter or son made of. Papa must be pleased to get it. ♡ ♡ Happy Valentine Day!! ♡ ♡
Yamashita san from Philippine brought the Valentine present for children.

2月6日英語で遊ぼう！English,English,English!!の報告（Let's play in English.)
コアラ会員の布施さんの指導で行いました。 布施さんはオーストラリアの大学で幼児教育を学びました。 教育実習で学んだ事を披露して下さいました。
カラーボールをバケツから転がしました。 これは何色？
袋からリンゴを出して、これは何？ これと同じ色のボールを拾って。
袋からレモンをだして、これは何？ これと同じ色のボールを拾って。
と指示を出していきますが、子供たちは英語が分かりません。 それでも中には「アップル、レッド、イエロー」と言える子供がいました。
テンポよくネイティブスピーカーの様な英語は子供たちを飽きさせませんでした。 さすがですね～ さや香さん！！
Good Morningの歌で子供たちを紹介しました。
どんな楽器を持ってきましたか？ マラカス、太鼓、ラッパ、タンバリン、笛、ウクレレ、バンブーなどが揃いました。 歌に合わせて鳴らしました。
絵本と「子供の手遊び歌の本」(My Nursery Rhyme Book)を見ながら歌いました。

親指（子供の）はどこ？ここだよ。元気？うん。ありがと！逃げる！！
人差し指、中指、薬指、小指までを指しながら歌った。

ママの膝の上に子供を載せてボートを漕ぐ。 クロコダイル（ワニ）だ！ キャーッ、ギャーツと笑い騒ぐ。
⑨ Ring-a-Ring o' Roses
皆、立って、親子で手を繋いでぐるりと回る
We all fall down で一斉に座る。
We all jump up で一斉にジャンプする。 親も子も盛り上がって楽しくなってきたよ。
⑩ London Bridge
私と布施さんがブリッジになり、my fair ladyで捕まえる。
子供たちは笑顔で走り回っていました。
運動した後、岩村さん（男性）が差し入れて下さったお菓子を食べました。
彼は私が所属する「あしたの会かわさき」（インドの貧しい女性達の識字教育と女性の地位向上プロジェクトをしているＮＧＯ団体）のメンバーです。
その中、コアラを見学に来られると思いますが、私の夫ではありませんのでお間違え無く！！
今日の入会：

Koala Member, FUSE san coached us for today's event. Fuse san studied the Teaching small children at the university in Australia. She introduced English songs and plays that learned the Practice teaching at her university.
She rolled colored balls down the floor and said "What color are there?"
Took out an apple from the bag and said "What is this?" Pick up the same color ball!
Took out a lemon from the bag and said "What is this?" Pick up the same color ball!
Children couldn't understand English though, some child replied "An apple, red, yellow."
Her way of English speaking was like a native speaker that was never tired of children playing. Awesome! Sayake san!!
Introduced children by "Good Morning" song.
What kind of instrument did you bring? There were Maracas, Drum, Trumpet, Tambourine, Flute, Ukulele, Bamboo.
We sounded these instruments according to music.
We sung songs by use of "My nursery Rhyme Book" and Picture book provided by Fuse san.

As we showed our fingers "Where is Thumbkin? Here I am. How are you today? Very well, thank you. Run away.

We enjoyed songs with rhythm and play.

Fuse san and I made a bridge and caught a couple of mom and child as the part of "my fair lady"
Children run around the room with a smile.
After exercised, we had sweets that Mr. Iwamura presented to Koala Children.
He is a member of NGO "Ashita no kai Kawasaki" which I also belong to. It means "For a better tomorrow" Indian poor women's literacy and development project - Women's empowerment. He will come to see us some day. He is no my husband. Please don't mistake.

１月２３日新年会の報告（The New Year's Party.)
お正月の飾りつけをしました。 新年会は一品持ち寄りのパーティです。 テーブルにお料理が並んでいきます。

＊「１月１日の歌」は約９０年前に子供用に作られましたので日本語が古いです。 この歌を歌いましょう。
としのはじめの（年の初めの） ためしとて（先例として）、
おわりなきよの（終わりなき世の） めでたさを
まつたけたてて（松竹建てて） かどごとに（門ごとに）
いわうきょうこそ（祝う今日こそ） たのしけれ（楽しけれ）
＊日本人なら知っておこう！！
＠門松って何？
新年に歳神様を迎える為に玄関に飾る松飾です。 日本の神様は高くてとがったものが好きだそうです。
＠鏡餅って何？
手鏡の様に円形の形をしているので鏡餅と言います。 ３００年前、貧しい家に生まれた子供は丁稚奉公として商人の家で働きました。 年末に、お金の代わりに餅を貰いました。
＠おせち料理って何？
昔は年末年始、店は１週間休みだったので保存食を作る必要があった。 現代はお正月も営業している店が多いので不便ではありませんね。 おせち料理の品にはひとつづつ意味があります。
＊子供たちの紹介歌；
(^^♪ ００ちゃん、００ちゃんはどこでしょうか？ ここです。 ここです。 ここにいます。 (^^♪
００ちゃん～ は～い！ ♡ ２０名の子供達の名前を呼びました。
＊１１時過ぎましたので食事にしましょう。
沢山美味しそうな料理が並んでいます。 皆で「いただきます～」。
いつもの様に副代表の藤原錦芳さんが中華料理を６種類作って下さいました。 朝４時から料理を始めたそうです。 お疲れ様でした。 「コアラから材料費も出せないので沢山作らないで、無理しないでください」と言っていますが、毎回沢山作って下さいます。 皆さんに「美味しかった！満足！」と言われると嬉しいので又沢山作ってしまうそうです。 料理が多すぎて福本さんの車で運んでもらいました。 阿部さんにもいつもの様にお赤飯を作ってもらっていました。
この様にコアラの協力者により助けてもらっています。
コアラ会員、協力者、保健婦さん、福祉パルの方たちを含め、約５０名で新年会をしました。
沢山食べて、いい気分で一年がスタート出来ます。
今年もコアラの活動をよろしくお願いします。

@ What is "Kadomatu"?
It is the New Year's decorative pine and bamboo branch. We put it in front of the gate for welcome GOD. Japanese God seems to like the high and peak things.
@ What is "Kagamimochi"?
The rice cake shapes round like a hand mirror. 300 years ago, Japanese children were born in poor family, they worked for tradesman as an apprentice. At the end of the year, they used to get rice cakes instead of money.
@ What is "Osechiryouri"?
In the past, all stores were closed for a week during the end of the year and the beginning of the year so that they needed to make preserved food. At the present day, almost all stores open on Jan. 1. An article of food has a meaning.
* Children's introduction song;
(^^♪ 00chan, Where are you? Here, Here, I'm here. (^^♪ 00chan, Hai~ good job! How cute they are! We called 20 children's names.
* As the time was past 11:00, let's have a lunch. ☺
A vice president, Fujiwara Kimpou san cooked 6 kinds of Chinese foods in her usual way. She started to cook from a.m.4:00. She must be exhausted. I said to her "Koala doesn't pay your ingredient expense so that please don't cook a lot. Take it easy." But she always cooks a lot. She is very glad to hear everybody say to her "Delicious!, Satisfied with Chinese foods."
Fukumoto san helped her carry heavy foods out by her car. Abe san also cooked glutinous rice steamed with red beans as usual.
Thank you for Koala supporters.
We celebrated Koala New Years Party with 50 people including Guests. We got off to a good start.
