４月５日オリエンテーションとイースター祭りの報告（Orientation and Easter Festival)

今日は小学校入学式の為、上に子供のいる人はお休みでした。　幼稚園がまだ始まっていないので卒業生が来てくれました。

　《オリエンテーション》
代表：米澤悦子
ボランティアグループ「コアラ」は１９９６年１月に設立しましたので２２年経ちました。　今まで４０か国の外国人母子が参加しました。　毎年どこの国の人が参加するのか分かりません。　メンバーの顔ぶれが揃ってから、皆でイベントを決めています。　代表の仕事はイベントの報告と外部との連絡・調整などです。　「コアラ２０周年の記念誌」を作りました。　１冊５００円です。　（反応なし）

副代表：藤原錦芳（中国）
１５年間一緒にコアラを運営しています。　福祉パルの部屋の予約をしています。　現在、家族の介護の為に休んでいます。　外国人、主に中国人の相談窓口です。
一品持ち寄りパーティでは中華料理を沢山作って持って来ます。

スタッフ：中野ベレン（フィリピン）
英語、タガログ語、日本語を話します。　高校生の息子はコアラの卒業生です。　フィリピン人の相談役です。　子供の面倒を見たり、お茶出しをしてくれます。

　《イースター祭り》
小堀さんがPepper's Easter Egg Hunt　の絵本を読みました。　Tickle, tickle・・・と言って皆をくすぐりました。　子供達は逃げ回っていました。

うさぎの帽子（Bunny Bonnet)をかぶった松島さんと須永さんが手遊び歌をしました。

終わりにライザさんが卵の形をしたケーキ（Easter Egg）を作って来て下さいました。　参加者が少なかったので一人で３～５個食べられましたね。　美味しかった。

Due to the primary school entrance was held today, members who have their siblings couldn't come.  On the contrary, alumni come to Koala as their preschool are not start yet.

　《Orientation》
Founder: Etsuko Yonezawa
I established the volunteer group "KOALA" on Jan. 1996.  It's been 22 years since mothers and children from 40 countries have been participating.  Nobody know who would come to Koala this year.  After new members gathered, we make each events.  I report Koala event every time on the blog and to write out the documents.  I issued "Koala 20th anniversary" and it's 500yen. (no reaction)

Vice president: Kinpo Fujiwara (Chinese)
She has been helping Koala with me for 15 years and takes charge of room reservation by phone.  Now, she can't come to Koala because of caregiver.  She is an adviser for foreign member especially Chinese.  She brings in lots of Chinese food at the potluck party.

Staff: Belen Nakano (Philippine)
She speaks English, Tagalog and Japanese.  Her son is High school student who graduated from Koala.  She is an adviser for Philippine and is taking care of children.

　《Easter Festival》
@ Kobori san read the picture book "Pepper's Easter Egg Hunt".  We tickled nearby children saying "tickle  tickle・・・"  Children ran from place to place.

@ Matsushima san and Sunaga san were wearing Bunny Bonnet showed a sing using hand-gestures.

At the end, Raiza san served Easter Egg cake for us.  We could have 3~5 pieces.  It was so delicious.  Thank you for your kindness.
Today's event was enjoyable.

３月２９日お花見会の報告（Cherry blossom view picnic)

今日は暖かいと言うより暑い２５℃でピクニック日和。　２０分前に自治会館前広場に行きましたが、もうすでに他の団体がブルーシートやテントで場所を確保していました。　コアラ卒業生（３歳以上）７人、見学者（１歳未満）６人と現会員の母子で総勢４５名と大人数のお花見会になりました。

「子育てグループ知りたいな～」で説明した松島さんが司会をして参加者全員に簡単な自己紹介をして貰いました。　次回４月５日のオリエンテーションでコアラの歴史など詳しく説明します。

ランチタイムではマカロニサラダ、スポンジケーキ、苺、いなりずし、辛子こんにゃく、お菓子など皆でおすそ分けしながら頂きました。　朝早くから会員の為に作られたのですね。　差し入れを有難うございました。　皆で美味しくいただきました。

お腹いっぱいになると子供達は走り回り、汗びっしょりかいていました。
やはり卒業生のお姉さんやお兄さんが来てくれると活気が出ますね。　はりきり過ぎて転んで泣いている子供もいました。

The temperature was in the 25 degree.  It was hot rather than warm day today and good for a picnic.  I went to JICHIKAIKAN open space at 10:40am.  Other groups had already occupied the space by blue tarps and tent.  We had a big party of 45 people since Koala graduates (more than 3 years old) 7 children, visitors (under 1 year old) 6 babies and Koala members got together. 

Matsushima san who explained "Want to know child rearing group" took a chair for self-introduction one by one.  I will explain Koala history at the next orientation on April 5.

At the lunch time, members shared with all participants some Macaroni salad, Sponge cake, Strawberry, Inarizushi;flavored boiled rice wrapped in fried bean curd, Mustard konjac and sweets.  You made delicious food from the early morning for us, didn't you. Thank you for sharing.  All of them were so delicious.
Children were running around the space puring with sweat after a full belly.
Big sisters and brothers made them liven up.  Some children had a tumble and cried.

情報）子育ての常識・今と昔（Common practice for Child rearing/now and old day)

子育てをめぐる状況は１０年で大きく変わりました。　子育ての常識が世代に寄って違います。

                              
１、昔）赤ちゃんの肌はツルツル・すべすべなのでケアは不要
　　今）赤ちゃんの肌も保湿が必要。　　実は肌荒れや乾燥しやすい
　　乾燥した肌は水分がより失われ、アレルギー物質が取り込まれやすい。
　　アトピー性皮膚炎につながる可能性がある。

２、昔）＊泣く赤ちゃんをすぐに抱っこすると「抱き癖」がつき、甘えた子になる。
　　　　＊泣いている時に対応しないと、感情を表現しない「サイレントベビー」になる。
　　今）抱っこは赤ちゃんの安心・将来の自立心につながる。
　　なぜなら・・愛情に関するホルモンが出る・・と言う研究が複数ある。

３、昔）＊粉ミルクは子供がアレルギーになりやすい。
　　　　＊母親が食べ た料理で母乳の栄養価がかわる。
　　今）母乳育児の長所はあるが、子供は粉ミルクでも元気に育つ。
　　免疫が未熟な赤ちゃんにとっては母乳は感染症予防に役立つ成分が含まれてい　　
る。母親にも子宮の回復や体重減少を助けたりするメリットがある。

The circumstances for child rearing has been changed for 10 years.  Common practice for child rearing is different from generation to generation.

1, Old) Baby has smooth skin so that no need to care
   Now)Baby also needs a moisturizing component.  Easy to have rough dry skin.
Dried skin lose their moisture and easy to get an allergenic substance.
Possible to get an atopic dermatitis.

2, old) *Hold crying baby in your arms makes him spoiled.
           *Leave crying baby become "silent baby" who doesn't show his emotion.
   now) Holding a baby give him peace of mind and foster a spirit of independence in children.  Because mother get hormone secretion concerned affection.

3, old) *Powder milk get child allergy.
           * Food that mother eats, reflect nutritious mother's milk.
   now) Mother's milk has merit but baby can grow up with powder milk too.
No immunity immature baby needs mother's milk that help him prevent from an infectious disease. To give Mother's milk has a merit of the recovery of uterus and help loose her weight.

　　　　

３月８日お別れ会の報告（Send-off Party)

国際交流センター２階団体ルームでのお別れ会でしたのでいつもの一品持ち寄りパーティは出来ませんでした。　残念でした。　雨の中、６人全員の卒業生が参加しました。　在校生も７組参加しました。

先ずは２月２７日の「子育てグループ知りたいな～」の係 松島さんとチートンさんから報告です。＊約５０名中コアラブースに来た人は１５名
＊Q.　見学できますか？　A.　いつでもどうぞ！
＊Q. 　英語が話せないけど大丈夫？　A.　大丈夫です。なるべく日本語で話しています。
＊Q.　英語を話す機会はある？　A.　外国人と友達になり英語で話して下さい。
＊Q.　保育園に行くのだがコアラの日に来ても良い？　A.　OKです。
＊Q.　他の子育てグループに参加しているがコアラにも来て良い？　A.　どうぞ。
＊Q.　外国人会員は何人いる？　A.　その年に寄って違いますが現在登録は９名、常時参加者は３名。
＊Q.　異なる年齢の人が来ていますか？　A.　はい
「コアラに来ている外国人は日本語を理解できていますか？」など外国人に関する質問はチートンさんが答えました。　説明会に外国人と一緒に出るのは良い！と思った。　その他、韓国人の方もいました。　コアラの子供達を知っている人もいました。

 

 

お別れ会；
｛昨年より、幼稚園や保育園の名前は公表しない事。子供の名前は漢字で書かない事に決まりました｝
マナト君、ユキ君、ハルキ君、あおいちゃん、ゆづきちゃん、あんりちゃん
コアラ卒業、おめでとうございます。　コアラに来てくれて有難うございました。
コアラ金メダルとプレゼントを差し上げます。

１、マナト君はママのお腹にいる時から来ていましたので３年以上のお付き合いです。入退室する時、必ず挨拶してハグしていましたが最近は恥ずかしくてハイタッチだけです。温順で素直な子供です。
２、ユキ君は体を動かすのが大好き。ハロウィンではスパイダーマンの姿・動きまで決めポーズで、かっこよかった。仮装大賞を貰いました。恥ずかしがり屋で日本語を話しません。ママに代って言わせていましたね。
３、ハル君もママのお腹にいる時から来ています。「今生まれました！」と写メールを貰いました。嬉しかったよ。初めての寝返りが代表宅でしたね。ハンサムなハル君はママの弱みを知っている。
４、あおいちゃんは静かで大声を出さない子供でしたが、３歳で大変身！！ユキ君と一緒に部屋中を駆け回り、大笑いしていました。ひな祭りイベントでは自分でお雛様を作っていました。自分の事は自分でするしっかり者です。
５、ゆづきちゃんは食が細いとママは心配していましたが、一品持ち寄りパーティでロールキャベツをパクパク食べていましたね。今では随分たくましくなり、子供達と一緒に遊んでいました。おとなしくて気づかいが出来る子供です。
６、あんりちゃんは昨年の７月から休まずにコアラに来てくれました。ママの姿が見えなくなると真っ赤な顔で泣いていました。まだ１歳だから仕方がないね。女の子らしく、キラキラ輝くものに興味があるようです。

 

１年間休まずにコアラに来てくれた人にコアラからお祝の品を差し上げました。
雨の日も雪の日も暑くて外出したくない日もコアラに来てくれました。　コアラが好きでないと行く気がしません。　健康でないと参加出来ません。

We had the send-off party at Kawasaki International Center so that there wasn't potluck party.  Sorry!    The graduating children of 6 and their mothers and 7 couples of mom & children were attended in the rainy day.

First, report from Matsushima san and Chiton san about "Want to know the child raising group" on Feb. 27. 
* 15 persons came to Koala booth out of 50 attendants.
*Q. Can I visit to see your activities?   A. Yes
*Q. I can't speak English.   A.  OK. We speak Japanese at Koala.
*Q. Do I have an opportunity to speak English?   A. Make friend with foreigner.
*Q. My son is going to nursery school. Can I attend Koala?   A. Yes
*Q. I attended other child raising group now. Can we attend Koala too?   A. Yes.
*Q. How many foreign members are there?   A. Numbers is different from year by year.  Now, 9 registered and 3 regular attendant.
*Q. Are there people of different age group?   A. Yes
"Do foreigner in Koala understand Japanese?"  Chiton san replied about foreign members.  Good to attend an explanatory meeting with foreign member.
There were Korean mother and Japanese mothers who knew Koala children.

Send-off Party;
{Not announce the name of Preschool and nursery school.  Not write children's name in Kanji from last year}
Manato, Yuki, Haruki, Aoi, Yuzuki, Anri
Thank you for coming to Koala.  Give you the Gold Medal and present.

1, Manato: It's been more than 3 years since he came to Koala in his mom's belly. He always greeted me with open arms but he hesitated to do so lately.  He is a gentle and docile nature.
2, Yuki: He likes to move and has the ability of motion.  It was cool to play "Spider man" at our Halloween Party.  He got the costume prize.  He hesitates to speak out Japanese because of his shy and let his mom to say his wish.
3, Haruki: He also came to Koala since his mom was pregnant.  I was very glad to get photo mail by his mom.  His first turning over in bed was a leader's house.  Handsome Haruki already knew mom's weak points.
4, Aoi: She was quiet and not to speak loudly but she suddenly changed at her age 3.  Running around the room with Yuki and laughed.  She made Hina by herself at Hina Festival.  She is a person of steady character and do it by herself.
5, Yuzuki: Her mom was worried about Yuzuki's small bite but she munched cabbage roll at the party.  Now, she grew vigorously and healthy and playing with children.  She is well-behaved and thoughtfulness.
6, Anri：She came to　Koala continuously from July last year.  When her mom went out the room, she cried out to get red in the face.  There is no help she is only 1 year old.  She likes glittering things.

Two persons who came to Koala through a year were given presents.
They came even a rainy day, snowy day and hottest day.  Not only they love Koala group but also keep good conditions.
