特別）かながわ子ども・子育て支援大賞に「コアラ」が選ばれました（Koala got a prize for excellence among childcare groups in Kanagawa Pref.)

県だより「かながわ情報館」の６月号に子ども・子育て支援大賞募集が載っていました。　１９９６年１月に「国際子育てひろばコアラ」を設立しました。　長年運営している割には世間に知られていないので応募してみました。

１０月に「コアラ」は一次審査に合格したので二次審査を行います。　公開プレゼンテーション（５分）、配布資料の準備をして県次世代育成課に送信して下さい。との連絡がありました。

１０月１６日（水）横浜の崎陽軒会議室で二次審査が行われました。　１６団体が選ばれて、それぞれがプレゼンテーションをすることになりました。　私はカンボジアのリネットさんと行きました。　審査員８名、１６団体の代表者、観客の皆様全員が各団体を評価します。　真剣に聞かないと評価できないので緊張しました。 これが一言メッセージになりました。　１６団体の中、コアラだけが外国人母子支援の団体でした。

コアラは０～３歳までの子育て中の日本人・外国人親子を対象とし、子育て中のストレスをためない、社会から孤立させないために地域の情報交換、国際交流や理解を深める場「コアラ」をつくり、国籍を問わず親子で交流できる場を提供している。
リネットさんの様に９年前にコアラを卒業してボランティアとして手伝ってくれる人もいる事を話しました。.

１１月初旬にコアラが最優秀賞に選ばれた事をメールで伝えられましたが、公式発表の２６日までは公言してはいけない！と書いてありました。　第１３回かながわ子ども・子育て支援大賞等受賞内容一覧が県のホームページに発表されました。
受賞理由は「２３年間の長い間、外国人母子に寄り添い支援し続けた事」

１２月３日（火）第１３回かながわ子ども・子育て支援大賞授賞式は県庁４階奉安殿で行われました。　副代表の藤原錦芳さんと出席しました。　コアラの大賞ほか６団体が表彰されました。　リハーサルが終わり、黒岩知事の入室で式が開始されました。　表彰状と副賞がわたされました。

受賞者を代表して「コアラ」の米澤が２分間スピーチを以下の通りしました。

「プレゼンテーションが終わり、一言メッセージをパソコンに送って頂きました。　優しいお言葉、励ましのお言葉、ガンバレ・応援しているのお言葉に感激して泣いてしまいました。　子育て支援大賞に応募した動機は２３年間やってきたコアラの活動を認めて欲しい、知ってほしいとの思いからでした。　大賞に選ばれるとは思っていませんでした。　皆様のメッセージは賞を頂く以上に嬉しかったです。　ボランティア団体は場所取りなど苦労が多いです。　落ち込んだ時、このメッセージを読んで頑張ろうと思います。」

久しぶりの正装と緊張で疲れました。

I learned "Child & child-rearing support group competition entries" issued by "Kanagawa Jyouhou kan" in June.  I established "International Mom & infants cross cultural group "KOALA" in Jan. 1996.  I have been managed Koala for 23 years though Koala has not been yet widely known in the public.  So, I applied for this competition.

Koala was accepted the first screening in Oct.  I made arrangements to have public presentation material and handout ready for audience.  Then, I sent all materials to jisedai ikusei ka means next generation rearing section for my second screening by mail.

The second screening was conducted at Yokohama on 16th Oct.  Sixteen groups were selected among applicants and gave their presentation in five minutes.  I went there with Rinett san from Cambodia.  A judging committee of eight, representative of 16 groups and audience appreciated the value of group's activities.  I had to listen their speech seriously otherwise I couldn't judge. I got tense.  This was a few words message.  Koala was the one and only group supporting to foreign mother and child among 16 groups.

Koala group consists of Japanese and Foreign mothers with their 0~3 years old children.  Foreign mothers began to feel stress because of her unfamiliar surroundings and their child rearing.   I don't want foreign families are isolated from Japanese society.  So, I found KOALA for those who need help to get area information, international exchange and understanding. 
I talked about there are someone like Rinett san returned to Koala after nine years as a volunteer.

I was informed that Koala got a prize for excellence by mail in early Nov. but it was mentioned not to tell to others until 26th of formal announcement.  The 13th Kanagawa Child and Child-rearing support group winner and it's reason was released on Kanagawa pref. homepage.
The reason to win: "You kept supporting foreign mothers and children for 23 years."

An award ceremony of Kanagawa child/child care support grand prize was conducted at a prefectural office "Houann denn" on Dec. 3, 2019.   Ms. Kinpo Fujiwara, vice president of Koala and I attended the ceremony.  Koala had the first prize and other 6 groups were awarded.   After rehearsal, Kuroiwa Governor started an award ceremony.  He was offering me an award certificate and an additional prize.

I was a representative of prize winners and gave a speech in two minutes like this.
" After giving presentation, a few words messages were sent  to my PC by officer.  I cried reading those messages there were affectionate words, encouragement words and messages of support.  The reason for my application to child care support competition was to hope people to know and recognize my activities for 23 years.  I didn't expect I would chose the first prize.  Your excellent messages gave me happiness more than I got an award prize.  Volunteer groups have difficulties of organizing.　　When I felt down, I will read those messages and will get energy again.  Thank you very much."

１２月５日クリスマス会の報告（Christmas!)

クリスマスの飾りを壁に貼りました。　入口にはサンタクロースの看板を置きました。
いつもの様にマットを広げて玩具を出すと子供達が遊びました。
一品持ち寄りのパーティですので色々な料理が机に並べられました。

まず、高橋さんからクリスマスの手遊び歌を披露して貰いました。

「子育ては本当にストレスが溜まります。　コアラの様な場があって感謝しています。」とのコメントでした。

お知らせ：
＊２４日に参加して下さったコアラ卒業生にもクリスマス会にご招待しました。　残念ながら、殆どの人がバイトでした。　帰国中の人もいらっしゃいました。　二人だけ参加して下さいますのでよろしくお願いします。
＊かながわ子ども・子育て支援大賞の大賞・一等賞にコアラが選ばれました。　これが表彰状です。　１２月３日県庁で黒岩知事から副賞と共に頂きました。
和枝さんからのご寄付を終了させて頂き、来年から副賞で頂いたお金を使います。

特別にありがとう！
山田さんは６種類の料理を作って来て下さいました。　
１、ソーメンチャンプルー
２、肉団子の甘酢和え
３、エビとブロッコリーのサラダ
４、野菜とバーニャカウダソース
５、チョコレートチーズケーキ
６、リンゴマフィン
全部美味しかったですね。　お店で食べる高級料理の様でした。
チーズケーキは食べるのが勿体ないほどの出来栄えでした。　皆さん、食べましたか？

誕生会；
ケイ君　２歳　お誕生日おめでとうございます。　コアラのお誕生日カードとコアラメダルを差し上げます。　皆で「ハッピーバースディの歌」を歌ってケイ君の成長をお祝いしましょう。

Christmas party report
December 5th

We decorated the wall with Christmas decorations, and also we put a Santa Claus board at the entrance.
We laid out a mat with toys for the children as usual.
The children started to play.
This was our potluck party.
Everyone brought food to share.
So there were many dishes on the table.

At first, Ms.Takahashi sang two-finger play songs for the children.
1) What do you want for Christmas?
2) ぼよよよーん こうしんきょく
(Boyoyoyo-n march)
The song says “you have springs on your feet to jump over any problems”

To close, Ms.Takahashi said that this song cheered her up when she was tired of looking after kids.
Visiting the Koala group also reduced her stress levels.
She appreciated the help of Koala and Ms.Yonezawa.

•We also invited past graduates of the Koala to thank them for participating in the fashion show on November 24th.
Unfortunately, only two graduates could attend, others were busy or were away on holiday.

•Koala got a prize for excellence among childcare groups in Kanagawa prefecture.
Ms.Yonezawa in the picture got an honorable certificate.
She received it with an extra prize on December 3rd at the prefectural office from Mr.Kuroiwa governor of Kanagawa prefecture.
From now on we’re going to use the money that we received from Kanagawa prefecture.
We are very grateful for the donations and support which Ms.Kazue used to give us.

The dishes were very much like the food served at an elegant and exclusive restaurant.
Especially the cheesecake was too beautiful to be eaten.
But of course, we did eat it and it was also very delicious!

特別）１１月２４日歴史へのご招待の報告（Invitation to history)

NPO法人きもの文化・歴史風俗研究会と川崎市文化協会の主催で行われました。
立派なイベントで受付の近くには令和の皇后雅子さまがお召しになった十二単のレプリカがありました。　美しい！！

私達コアラの為に視聴覚室と児童室の部屋が用意されていました。　１０時過ぎからコアラのメンバーが集まり、１１：３０からの舞台上でのリハーサルに備えました。
２０分でリハーサルは終わりました。　それぞれ家族や友達とランチを食べに行きました。　

本番の３時まで子供達は大暴れ！　二つの部屋を行ったり来たり・・・楽しそう・・・
「コアラ」は第３部に出演しました。
１３か国の民族衣装に着替えて、綺麗にお化粧して・・さあ～出番です。
「It's a small world」の音楽に合わせて順番にステージに出ました。　皆、美しく楽しそうです。　笑顔がとても素敵でした。　子供達もママに連れられて上手に出来ました。

「英語であそぼう」もとても良かった。　皆さんの英語が素晴らしい！！　田部井さん、高橋さんは時間があると子供達の教えていました。　子供達も前に出て、踊ってくれましたね。　可愛かったよ。　お疲れ様でした。

フラダンスを紹介されたベレンさんの英語も本格的で中高生には刺激的でしたね。
フラダンスはちょっと間違えました。

最後に皆で舞台を歩いた時、お客さんは拍手をして下さいましたね。　
「コアラの舞台は大変盛り上がり、お客さんと一体になっていて良かった」と評判だったそうです。

４７名の出演者の半分は卒業生とその家族でした。　ご協力有難うございました。
お陰様で豪華なパフォーマンスが出来ました。
また出たいでしょう！？　癖になりそう？！
本当に有難うございました。　
大成功！！でした。

The event was organized by NPO Kimono culture/history club and Kawasaki city cultural association. This event was so gorgeous.  A replica of a layered Kimono worn by a court lady(jyuuni hitoe) that was wore by an empress Masako put near reception desk.  What a beautiful attire!

Kimono group made the arrangements for an audiovisual room and children's room for us Koala.  Members gathered slowly from 10:00 and prepared our rehearsal from 11:30.  The rehearsal was finished in 20 minutes.  Each families and friends went out to have their lunch.

Children acted up until 3:00.  They went back and forth between two rooms.  Fun!!
Koala performed Part 3 in the program.
We changed ethnic costume from 13 different countries and put on makeup  beautifully.  Now, it's our turn.  Each dressed in costume appeared on the stage according to the music "It's small world".  They were so beautiful and seemed like enjoyable.  Smiling faces were perfect.  Children also did very good.

"Play in English" was also very good.  Pronunciation was perfect!!  Tabei san and Takahasi san taught children how to dance in spare time. Children danced in front of the stage.  How cute they are!

Belen san introduced Hula dance in English gave students stimulation. I made a few mistake in Hula dance.

When all participants walked on the stage last time, audience gave us clapping of hands.
The organizer said "Koala's performance was very good and harmonized with audience."

A half of 47 performers were graduate and her family.  Thank you for your cooperation.  We did a perfect performance for your patronage.
Do you want to do again?  Thank you all.  This event was great success!!

１１月２１日リハーサルの報告（Reheasal)

２回目のリハーサルはプラウドマンションのラウンジとキッズルームでした。　区役所の駐輪場に１０時に全員が集合しました。　ラウンジは広くてきれいでした。　玩具もあり、子供達は喜んで遊んでいました。

*米澤：コアラの説明（２分）　ベレンさん：各国の挨拶の言葉とコアラ２０周年の本を見せる。
＊米澤：Are you ready?  （Ya~）  Here we go!　の合図でIt's a small worldの音楽。
＊ライザさんから順番に１３か国まででます。
＊沖縄代表は松島さんが子供二人を連れてあいさつ。　 
＊三線を取りに行く。　沖縄の歌をうたう。

*米澤：次は英語であそぼう。 Come on ladies.  The ｆloor is all yours. で両端から出る。　Music Start!　で音楽が始まる。

＊ベレンさんがフラダンスの紹介を英語でする。
米澤が踊る。
＊最後は皆でさようなら！

係：
山中さん：飲み物３本と紙コップ（視聴覚室におきますので自由に飲んで下さい）
田部井さん：当日参加賞として配るお菓子大人２５個、子供２５個を２４日まで保管
リネットさん：コアラ２０周年の本１０冊を２４日まで管理
布施さん・リネットさん：２４日参加賞としてお菓子を配る係。

言い忘れた事；
＊視聴覚室は２時３０分になったらカギをかけますので貴重品だけ残して、子供に必要な物は児童室に置いて下さい。　カギは私以外の人が持ちます。

ティタイム；
リネットさんがカンボジアのおやつ（蒸した里芋のスィーツ）ヘルシーで甘みもほどほどでとても食べ易く、美味しかった。　
米澤からお菓子の差し入れ

今回で全体の進行過程が理解できたと思います。
風邪を引かない様に！　当日は楽しく成功させましょう！！

The 2nd rehearsal was held at Proud Mansion, lounge and kid's room. We got together at 10:00 at the bicycle park in Nakahara Ward office.  The lounge was spacious and clean. Children enjoyed provided toys.

* Yonezawa:Explain about Koala (2min.) Belen:Show the papers of greeting of each countries and Koala 20th book to the audience.
* Yonezawa: Are you ready? (Ya~) Here we go!  Start "It's a small world."
* A person in charge of thirteen countries costume appear on the stage following Rizza who is starter.
* Okinawa, Matsushima appears on the stage with two her children and greeting.
* Take sanshin from me and sing a Okinawa song.

* Yonezawa: The next theme is "Play in English" Come on ladies.  The floor is all yours.  Two ladies appear from both side of the stage.  Say "Music start!"

* Belen introduce Hula dance in English.
* Say good-bye to the audience.

A person in charge;
Nakayama; Three bottles of drink and paper cup.(Feel free to have it)
Tabei: Sweet bags 25 for adult, 25 for children are kept by her until 24th.
Renette: Koala 20th anniversary books are kept by her until 24th.
Fuse & Renette: Deliver the sweet bag to participants.

Notice;
* You leave your valuables in audiovisual room, then key at 2:30.  The things belong to your child, bring to the child care room.  The key will be held by someone not me,Yonezawa.

Tea time;
Renette brought in Cambodia's sweet (steamed Taro) It was healthy snack and delicious.
Others sweets from Yonezawa.
