2010年は皆様にとって素晴らしい年になりますようにお祈りいたします。
新年会は一品持ち寄りでした。27名の参加者と一緒に新年を祝いました。
「明けましておめでとう」を各国の言葉で何て言うの？エチオピアのアムハラ語、スリランカのシンハラ語、ポルトガル語、中国語、オーストラリアの英語で板書してもらいました。
始めてみる文字に興味を持ち、写真を撮る人もいました。
テーブルの上には世界の料理が並び、いい香りを漂わせています。
子供達は待ちきれません。11時には食べ始めました。
エチオピア：インジャラ＆エチオピアンカレー（平焼きのパン･ナンに似ている。スパイシーなカレー）スリランカ：ミルクライス（ライスにココナツミルクとくるみを混ぜつぶして固めてある。少し甘い）
チェコ：フランボラーク（ジャガイモをつぶして焼いてある）
中国:七草かゆ(鍋のままで暖かい）、揚げギョウザ、肉団子の煮物、中華煮物、茹でギョウザ
ロシア：キッシュ（日本のお好み焼きのような物）
日本：ぼた餅、サンドウィチ、チラシ寿司、わかめサラダ、赤飯
お菓子：ふかふか団子、豆乳プリン、キャンディー
ゲストには外国籍のお母さんの相談窓口ー保健師の高山さん、７年前にコアラのボランティアをしていた井上さん、一品持ち寄りの時助けてもらう阿部さんでした。
井上さんによると「今のコアラ会員は素晴らしい！外国人も皆笑っていて孤立していない。いい会に育ちましたね」と太鼓判を押してくれました。とても嬉しいです。
お腹一杯になると子供達は元気にぐるぐると走り回ります。赤ちゃんでさえも御粥を６杯食べました。すごい！
A Happy New Year! I hope the year 2010 will bring you and yor family good luck, happiness and prosperity. May the world rest in peace. Koala new year's event was a pot luck party. New Year's party was a potluck dish. Celebrated the New Years with 27 participants. What do you say in your word "A Happy New Year?
Foreign members wrote a board as Ethiopian Amharic, Sri Lanka Singhalese, Portuguese, Chinese and English. That was the first we saw unfamiliar languages. Some of them took photograph. International dishes lined up on the table and smelled woderfully. Children
could no longer wait. We started to eat them around 11:00.
Ethiopia: Injyara & Ethiopian curry(looks like Naan. Spicy curry)
Sri Lanka: Milk Rice(Crush Rice with coconutmilk and walnuts then firm. slight sweet)
Czech: Flamborak (baked and mashed potato)
China: Seven herbs rice porridge(keep warm in a pot),fried meat dumpling,meat and vegetable boiled and seasoned,chinese food, boiled meat dumpling.
Russia: Kisch(like Japanese Okonomiyaki)
Japan: Bean jam rice cake, Sandwich, blend Sushi with vegetable,wakame salad, glutinous rice steamed with red beans.
Sweet: soft dumpling, soymilk pudding, candies.
We welcomed three guests. Ms. Takayama is working for the Health centre and adviser to young mothers of foreign countries. Ms. Inoue was one of our volunteer staffs 7 years ago.
Ms. Abe helps Koala whenever we have a potluck party. Accoring to Ms.Inoue, Koala members are wonderful. Everyone is smiling and nobody is isolated even a foreigh members. You carried on Koala group for 14 years excellently. I'm very glad to hear that. Children were full after eating and were running around. Even a baby ate six cups of rice porridge. Awesome!
