特別） 外国につながる子供の就学前支援を考えるフォーラム（Think about children before entering school, linked to foreign countries.)
かながわ国際交流財団主催のフォーラム「外国につながる子供の就学前支援を考える」に出席しました。
小学校に入学する前の５～６歳児を対象に「プレスクール」を作り、外国につながる子供たちに日本の習慣、文化、学校生活などを教えている市がありました。 残念ながら川崎市はありません。
日本の小学校に入学するとどんなことが問題になるのだろうか？
～どうやってサポートすればいいの？～
＊両親の間を行き来し、国内外で移動・転校を繰り返しているため学習に遅れが出てしまったり、気持ちが不安定になっている子供がいる。
＊学校生活に必要な日本語を知らない子供がいる。
＊読み聞かせなどの習慣がないため物語に対する親しみがなく、漫画を読むのも苦手な子供がいる。
＊日本語の会話ができても日本語の読み書きは苦手、という保護者も多い。
＊「子供がいじめられているのでは？」と不安を抱いている保護者も少なくありません。
＊日本国籍を持っている子供だけが義務教育の対象となっています。 外国籍の子供は「就学案内」という日本人家庭とは異なる文書が送られる。
「すべての子供が教育を受ける権利を保障しています。 外国につながる子供も日本社会の将来を担う大切な人材です。」
＊学校の先生は保護者の日本語の読み書きがどの程度できるか、頼りになる友達、知人がいるかを知りたいです。
＊日本の学校生活の流れ（年間行事や一日の流れ、購入品、学校納入金など）理解してほしい。
＊「ゼッケン」「ぞうきん」「ふでばこ」「したじき」など聞いたこともない言葉についても、ローマ字で書いて教える。
＊入学式の様子や服装がわからず、普段着で参加する子供や保護者が悲しい思いをしてしまうことがあります。
＊日本では行事は時間通りに行われるので遅刻厳禁であることを教える。
＊集団行動で他の子供の真似だけしていて、実は指示内容を理解していない場合がある。
＊日本語でテレビを見ていない場合もあります。 子供の言語環境など知りたい。
＊「時間割」「持ち物」「行事」「登下校の安全」など、日本の学校に馴染みのない保護者の心配事はつきません。
＊「ぎょう虫検査」「尿検査」など現物を見せながら、やり方や検査の目的などを伝える必要がある。
＊「梅雨＝湿度が高いので食中毒に注意」「冬＝乾燥するので風邪をひきやすい」などの理解が不十分。
＊「くるま」「むし」は知っていても「自動車」「こん虫」に結びつかない子がいる。
＊「お正月」という言葉を知っていても、それにまつわる挨拶や食事、習慣、干支などを知らない例が多い。
＊計算ができる子でも、文章問題から場面が想像できず、何算の式を立てればよいのか、分からない事が多い。
＊割り算の答えの導き方や、分数の読み方の順番も異なる国があります。 家庭で保護者が教える方法と違うため混乱することがある。
＊お弁当の中身や香りが違うことがいじめの原因になることもあるので、戸惑っている保護者がいます。 料理が得意なのに、日本風のおかずの作り方が分からないからと冷凍食品しか使わないお母さんもいます。
＊「お父さんお母さんに学校に来られると恥ずかしいから嫌だ・・・」日本語が出来ず、日本社会のこともよく分からない保護者に対して子供が尊敬の気持ちを失ってしまったり、親子の力関係が逆転してしまうことがあります。
＊子育て雑誌やテレビ番組、自宅に届くダイレクトメール、保護者間での情報交換など、日本での子育てや教育に関する情報を得る手段は多様ですが、日本語で流通する情報が外国人保護者に届くことはほとんどありません。
＊学校からのプリントでどれが重要なのか分からず、重要書類が未提出になっていたり、情報が伝わらないまま捨てられてしまう事がある。
＊「義務教育は無償」と思っている外国人保護者もいる。 授業料は無償だが給食費や行事にかかる費用は負担する。
＊日本の学校制度は６・３・３・４制であること、中学校では制服や部活があり、地域によっては弁当が必要な事も教えてほしい。
＊小学校で順調に進級しているため問題なく勉強が出来ていると勘違いしている保護者がいる。 小・中学校では落第制度はない。
＊小学校で基礎学力をつけることの大切さや外国人向けの教育相談があることを知らせる。
＊日本生まれで、ルーツがある国での生活経験が無い子が多くなっている。

I attended the forum "Think about how to support the children before entering school, linked to foreign countries" by Kanagawa International Foundation.
Some cities provide "Preschool" for 5~6 years old children before entering school, linked to foreign countries. The staff teach them about Japanese custom, culture and school life. Kawasaki city doesn't have preschool yet.
What kind of problems are they facing when they enter Japanese primary school?
~ How can we support them? ~
* Children are coming and going between parent's country and Japan. Whenever they come, they have to change the school. It causes delay of learning and unstable.
* Children don't know needful Japanese at the school life.
* Children don't have reading and hearing customs by parents so that they are not popular with the story book, even a Manga(comic).
* Parents who can speak Japanese but are not good at Japanese reading and writing.
* Parents have anxiety about bully at the school.
* Children are given compulsory education that have Japanese nationality and children who have foreign nationality are given "the enter school guidance" that is different from Japanese family by Japanese education law.
We assure that all children have the right to get their education. Children who linked to foreign countries are also carrying future Japanese society on their shoulders. They are precious people as same as Japanese.
* A school teacher wants to know parent's proficiency in Japanese and they have reliable friends and an acquaintance or have not.
* A teacher wants you to understand the current of school life in Japan (events, schedule, purchase, pay to school) etc.
* They've never heard of the words "zetken" "zoukin" "fudebako" "shitajiki" are taught in the Roman alphabet.
* Parents and children don't know the dress code at the entrance ceremony are embarrassed wearing their casual wear.
* Be punctual, Japanese events start as per schedule on time.
* Children don't understand teacher's instruction and imitate other children among group activity.
* Children don't watch TV in Japanese. Teacher wants to know their situation.
* Parents always worry about unfamiliar Japanese school words like "jikanwari" "mochimono" "gyouji" "tougekou no annai" etc.
* Required to show them the actual article of "gyouchu kensa=thread worm examination" "nyou kensa= urinalysis" and explain the purpose of it.
* Foreigners are imperfect of understanding of "baiu(the rainy season)=warning food poisoning in high humidity." "fuyu(winter)=easy to get cold because of dryness.
* Children know "kuruma(car)" "mushi(insect)" but can't connect to "jidousha(car)" and "konnchu(insect)".
* Children know the word of "Oshougatu" but they don't know about new year's greeting, diet, custom and the twelve zodiac signs.
* At arithmetic, children are good at numbers although they can't use their imagination on the sentence.
* It is different way to steer the answer of division and fraction as per country. If you teach them in your way, child would confuse the division and fraction.
* Parents become confused about OBENTO(lunch box) that is different from Japanese in the contents and smells of the obento. Mama is good at cooking though she use only frozen food because she doesn't know how to cook Japanese dish.
* Children say to parents not to come to the school because of their poor Japanese. Since parents don't know Japanese society well, children lose respects toward their parents. It could happen to reverse the power balance among child and parents.
* Japanese get various information on child care and education through child care magazine, TV program, direct mail and exchange information among mamas. Those Japanese information hardly at all reach foreigner.
* Parents don't know which printed sheets from school is important. They don't submit the paper to a teacher or throw away.
* Foreign parents believe "Compulsory education is free of charge". The tuition fee is free but you have to pay child's school lunch and event expense.
* The Japanese education system is 6-3-3-4 period. The Junior high school requires school uniform and join after school activity. Obento needs depend on regions.
* Parents misunderstand their children to catch up with the class and pass on to the upper grade smoothly. There is not failure system in a primary school and a junior high school.
* It is very important to get a grounding in achievement at a primary school. If not, there are education consultation for foreigner.
* The number of children have been increasing who were born in Japan and have never been staying in parent's country.
If you have trouble, don't worry by yourselves, ask your friends and Japanese. Or consult to Education counseling at the prefecture and the city.

１２月６日クリスマス会の報告(Christmas Party)
コアラでは一足早くクリスマス会を行いました。 参加費無料でプレゼントが貰えて料理も食べられる素晴らしいクリスマス会でした。
クリスマスの飾りつけをしました。 折り紙で作ったサンタさんも飾りました。 飾りつけをしてくれた人のセンスはいかがでしょうか。 素敵にデコレーションされていますね。 可愛い子供たちの写真撮影が始まりました。 ママの方が一生懸命ですよ。1ヶ月前に注文したクリスマスツリーのクッキーが「おかしの工房しいの実」さんより届けられています。 これは長濱和枝さんからコアラの子供たちへクリスマスプレセントです。 以前は参加費として３００円もらっていましたが今年は無料です。 「メリークリスマス！！(´∇｀)＜Merry☆Christmas」と言いながら子供達一人一人にクッキーを渡しました。 長濱和枝さん、有難うございました。 子供たちはとても嬉しそうでした。 御礼の色紙はクリスティーナさんが書いてくれますので、しばらくお待ちください。
「クリスマスパーティなのに料理がないのは淋しいよ～」と中国人会員の藤原さん、陸さん、小嶋さん、廣さん、田さん、渡邊さん、練さんとお婆ちゃん、深沢さん、フィリピン会員のマリーナさん、マリベスさんと日本から首藤さんと米澤代表が料理を作って持ってきました。 朝早くから起きて料理を作ってくれたのですね。 お疲れ様でした。 会員たちは「うわ～、懐かしい中国の味！」「すごく美味しい。どうやって作ったの？」「こんなに沢山作ってくれて有難う ♡」とニコニコ笑顔でお腹いっぱい食べました。 有難うございました。 彼女たち、料理のボランティアは「コアラを楽しい場所にしたい。コアラ大好き！」と自発的に料理を作ることにしたそうです。 感動しました。 ヽ(；▽；)
参加者は日本人母子１３組と外国人母子２１組、中国のお婆ちゃんとお爺ちゃんも加わって７０名でした。 部屋が熱気でムンムン、暑かったね。
１２月の誕生会；
小嶋 ゆうき君 ３歳、 牧 だいき君２歳 お誕生日おめでとうございます。 コアラよりお誕生日カードをあげます。 皆で「ハッピーバースデー」の歌を歌いましょう。 (*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)
本日入会；稲垣さん そして見学者２名 ようこそコアラへ。
Koala had an early Christmas party. Koala children got a present from Santa Claus and members had lunch at the party free of charge. What a wonderful Koala Christmas party was!
We decorated a Christmas ornaments. Origami Santa were also stuck on the wall. How about a sense of decoration? They did very good job. Mamas took a photograph of their lovely children. It seemed to me that mamas would take a photograph intently.
I ordered Christmas tree shaped cookie a month ago. It was delivered by "Okashi no Koubo Shiinomi". These are Christmas present to Koala children by Mrs. Kazue Nagahama. Koala used to get 300yen for participation fee. I gave chookie to children instead of Kazue san saying, "Merry Christmas to you!" We would like to express to Ms. Kazue Nagahama our deepest gratitude for giving us Christmas presents. Children looked so happy. Thank you note will be made by Kristina san. Please wait for a while.
"We feel sorry there is nothing to eat at Xmas party!!" Then, Fujiwara san, Riku san, Kojima san, Kou san, Den san, Watanabe san, Ren san and her mother in law, Fukazawa san from China, Marina san, Marcbeth san from Philippine and Shudo san and Yonezawa from Japan bought foods in. All of you have cooked since early in the morning. Thank you for your efforts. Members said "Oh, I miss this Chinese taste." "This cuisine reminds me of my mother and China." "Wow, delicious meal! How do you cook them?" "Thank you for cooking so many dishes." Everyone has eaten sufficiently. Thank you. We are very happy today.
The cooking volunteers decided to serve for Koala president Yonezawa san who have been running Koala for foreigner. They said, "We hope Koala would be more pleasant place and love Koala activities very much." Yes, your volunteer spirits and words moved me to tears. (つд⊂)
Participants were 13 couples of Japanese mama and child and 21 couples of foreigner. Chinese grand mama and grand papa also joined and totaled 70 people. The party was filled with excitement and became hot.

Yuuki Kojima 3 years old boy and Daiki Maki 2 years old boy. Happy Birthday to you! Koala group gives you the Birthday Card. Let's sing "Happy Birthday" song for them together. (*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)

１１月８日世界の歌の報告（The world's song for children! )
今日は参加している皆さんの国で歌われている子どもの歌を披露してもらいました。
１、日本 日本語； 布施 さや香さん 「納豆の歌」
納豆は糸引き納豆、おかめ納豆、ベタベタベタベタ粘りつく。 小嶋ゆうき君が前に出て布施さんと納豆の踊りをしました。 布施さんの迫力ある踊りに皆んな活気づきました。 幸先の良いスタートですね。
２、カンボジア カンボジア語； キープ リネットさん 「親子の手遊び歌」
ママは歌いながらふうた君の小さな手のひらに何かをつまんで載せていく。 ママをじっと見つめている。
３、オーストリア ドイツ語； クリスティーナ森廣さん 「親子の手遊び歌」
ママは歌いながらルカ君に呼びかける。 ルカ君は嬉しそうに体でリズムを取りながらママに答える。 いつもそうやって遊んでいるのね～。
４、マレーシア マレーシア語； ローファンイーさん＆タンガンスアンさん 「ラースタンサイアン」
歌って踊って皆で友達になって楽しく遊ぼうよ！ と歌っている。
５、中国 中国語； 陸チーさん、練香さん、小嶋蘭銀さん 「グーチョキパーで何作る？」
３人で話しかける様に歌って踊って、私達を楽しませてくれました。 人前に出て歌うのはすごく恥ずかしかったそうです。
６、中国のお婆ちゃんの飛び入り参加 「子供のお留守番」
言葉は分からないが、楽しそうに子供たちに語りかけるように歌っていた。 お婆ちゃんにとってコアラは楽しい場所の様だ。
７、モンゴル モンゴル語； マラルゴーさん 歌は下手なので、モンゴル伝統の楽器の音が出る絵本を持ってきました。 コアラ会員から「わぁ～、初めて見た、聞いた。 珍しいね！」
８、モンゴル モンゴル語； ハリウナーさん＆マラルゴーさん 「幸せなら手をたたこう」
日本でも親しみのある歌をモンゴル語で聞いた。 新鮮！！♡ ♡
９、ついでに日本語の「幸せなら手をたたこう」を皆で歌い、踊った。
「手をたたこう」「足ならそう」「隣の人の肩たたこう」
１０、フィリピン タガログ語； 高久マリーナさん＆寺田マリベスさん 「手遊び歌」
二人で歌いながら踊り、私達を楽しませてくれた。 二人とも息がビッタリ合っていました。
日本人母子１３組と外国人母子１６組の参加で賑わいました。 中国のお婆ちゃんとマレーシアのお婆ちゃんも参加して世界の歌を楽しみました。
本日入会； 中澤さん、趙さん（韓国）１年半ぶり第２子を連れて戻ってきました。

皆んな、歌って踊って、喉も乾いたでしょうからお茶を飲んでお菓子を食べて下さい。
The volunteer singers from seven different countries performed their own folk music for children.
1, Japan Japanese; Fuse Sayaka san "Natto no Uta" means "Song of the fermented soybeans"
There are Itohiki Natto, Okame Natto and all sort of nattos are sticky. Fuse san danced a natto with Kojima Yuki 3 years old boy round the room. Her powerful performance made us vitality.
It's vigorous start!!

Three of them were singing and dancing as if they spoke to us. They made us fun a lot. It seemed that they blushed to sing and dance in front of us.

Grandmother sung merrily as if she spoke to children though we didn't understand Chinese. It appears a grandmother feels comfortable at Koala.

Koala members; We've never seen and heard this kind of musical instruments. Wow, It is exotic!

This song is polular among Japanese too. But this is first to hear it Mongolian version. It freshen up.♡
9, Incidentally, let's sing a song "Let's clap your hands if you are happy!" in Japanese version together.
We sung and danced to clap our hands, to tap our foot, to knock next one's shoulder.
10, Philippine Tagalog; Takaku Marina san & Terada Marcbeth san "Singing with actions"
They entertained us by singing and dancing that were getting along very well with each other.
Participants were 13 couples of Japanese mam & child and 16 couples of foreigner. Chinese grandmother and Malaysian grandmother also enjoyed "The world's song for children" with us at Koala.
Today's entry: Nakazawa san, Sho san (Korea) She came back to Koala with her second child after an interval of one and half years. Welcome to Koala!

納豆は糸引き納豆、おかめ納豆、ベタベタベタベタ粘りつく。 小嶋ゆうき君が前に出て布施さんと納豆の踊りをしました。 布施さんの迫力ある踊りに皆んな活気づきました。 幸先の良いスタートですね。

ママは歌いながらふうた君の小さな手のひらに何かをつまんで載せていく。 ママをじっと見つめている。
３、オーストリア ドイツ語； クリスティーナ森廣さん 「親子の手遊び歌」
ママは歌いながらルカ君に呼びかける。 ルカ君は嬉しそうに体でリズムを取りながらママに答える。 いつもそうやって遊んでいるのね～。
４、マレーシア マレーシア語； ローファンイーさん＆タンガンスアンさん 「ラースタンサイアン」
歌って踊って皆で友達になって楽しく遊ぼうよ！ と歌っている。
５、中国 中国語； 陸チーさん、練香さん、小嶋蘭銀さん 「グーチョキパーで何作る？」
３人で話しかける様に歌って踊って、私達を楽しませてくれました。 人前に出て歌うのはすごく恥ずかしかったそうです。
６、中国のお婆ちゃんの飛び入り参加 「子供のお留守番」
言葉は分からないが、楽しそうに子供たちに語りかけるように歌っていた。 お婆ちゃんにとってコアラは楽しい場所の様だ。
７、モンゴル モンゴル語； マラルゴーさん 歌は下手なので、モンゴル伝統の楽器の音が出る絵本を持ってきました。 コアラ会員から「わぁ～、初めて見た、聞いた。 珍しいね！」
８、モンゴル モンゴル語； ハリウナーさん＆マラルゴーさん 「幸せなら手をたたこう」
日本でも親しみのある歌をモンゴル語で聞いた。 新鮮！！♡ ♡
９、ついでに日本語の「幸せなら手をたたこう」を皆で歌い、踊った。

１０、フィリピン タガログ語； 高久マリーナさん＆寺田マリベスさん 「手遊び歌」
二人で歌いながら踊り、私達を楽しませてくれた。 二人とも息がビッタリ合っていました。
日本人母子１３組と外国人母子１６組の参加で賑わいました。 中国のお婆ちゃんとマレーシアのお婆ちゃんも参加して世界の歌を楽しみました。
本日入会； 中澤さん、趙さん（韓国）１年半ぶり第２子を連れて戻ってきました。

The volunteer singers from seven different countries performed their own folk music for children.
1, Japan Japanese; Fuse Sayaka san "Natto no Uta" means "Song of the fermented soybeans"
There are Itohiki Natto, Okame Natto and all sort of nattos are sticky. Fuse san danced a natto with Kojima Yuki 3 years old boy round the room. Her powerful performance made us vitality.
It's vigorous start!!

１１月１日世界の絵本読み聞かせの報告（Reading World's picture book)
朝夕の冷え込みで風邪をひいている人が多いようです。 気をつけてくださいね。 今日の参加者は日本人母子８組と外国人母子６組の少ない人数でした。
１、高橋キキさん； 絵本の題名は「小ワニ」を北京語で読み聞かせ。
小さなワニは大きくなりたい。 ライオン、ゴリラ、象が羨ましい。 沢山食べて大きくなったワニが 折りたたんだ本からニョキニョキと出てきて大きなワニになりました。 お～、びっくり！！
２、首藤菜穂さん； 絵本の題名は「いちごはどこ」を日本語で読み聞かせ。
「いちごはどこかな？ 皆んな、探してね。」 頭の上の紙をめくるといちごが隠されている。 ケーキのてっぺんの紙をめくるといちごが隠されている。 ハッピーバースデー！ おめでとう。
３、マラルゴーさん； 絵本の題名は「十二支・どうして「ねずみ」が一番になったか？」をモンゴル語 で読み聞かせ。
十二支はね（ねずみ）、うし、とら、う（うさぎ）、たつ、み（へび）、うま、ひつじ、さる、とり、 いぬ、い（いのしし）です。
ラクダとねずみが「自分こそが一番になりたい！」と神様にお願いしました。 神様は「日の出を一番最初に見た者を一番にする」と言いました。 朝早く、ラクダは東の方へ行きました。 ねずみは西の方へ行きました。 お日様が東から出て西の山を照らしました。 ねずみは「お日様を見 たよ。」と先に言ったので１２支の最初はねずみになりました。
神様はがっかりしたラクダに言いました。「君は１２支の全てを持っているではないか。 君の耳はねずみに似ている、腹はうし、手のひらはとら、鼻はうさぎ、首はうま、毛はひつじ、背中はさる、足はいぬ、しっぽはいのしし・・・に似ている。だから君は１２支に入らなくても良いのだよ。」
会員より；
中国、日本でも十二支にまつわる言い伝えがありますがモンゴルにもあるのですね。 中国の物語と違います。 とても面白かったです。 勉強になりました。
ベトナムにも１２支はあります。 ベトナムでは１２支の最初は「ねこ」です。 「ねずみ」ではありません。

満月の夜、「子供の語り部コンテスト」がある。
話し手は村の歴史、文化、戦争での征服、特別な村 の行事や儀式に精通している。 村人は最も貴重な伝統ある宝物を保存し記憶させる百科事典の役目を 「子供の語り部コンテスト」に託した。 最も独創的な話し手が次の満月の日まで王様又は女王様の位に付けるのです。 物語は子供たちが夕方の仕事からコンテストが終わるまでが描かれています。
大きな水がめを頭に乗せて運んでいる男の子と女の子達が楽しくお喋りをしながら帰宅を急いでいます。
村の習慣として第２、第３婦人の子供たちは第１婦人（ママ）の家に夕食を運びます。 そこで皆んなで食べます。
日本でアフリカの絵本を見ることが無いので皆んな珍しがりました。
生の北京語、モンゴル語も聞けて、楽しかった。 ママたちはいつも読んでいるので読み方も上手で迫力もあり、引き込まれました。 楽しい時間を有難うございました。 (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o)))

1, Takahashi Kiki san; Reading picture book "A small alligator" in Chinese.
A small alligator wants to be a big one. He cast an envious glance at a Lion,a Gorilla, an Elephant. He ate a lot and became a big one. A big alligator was coming out through book. Oh, what a wonder!
2, Shudo Naho san; Reading "Where is a strawberry?" in Japanese.
She says "Where is a strawberry? Look for it." It is on a boy's head where is hidden by paper. It is on the birthday cake that is hidden by paper. Here, a strawberry is! Happy Birthday.
3, Maralsd san; Reading "Jyunishi (the twelve signs of the Chinese and Japanese zodiac.) Why does a mouse come first on the zodiac?" in Mongolian.
12 zodiac carry mouse, cow, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, hen, dog, wild boar.
A camel and a mouse asked GOD,"I want to be a first one on the zodiac." God said to them, "A creature that first saw the rise of the sun would be the No1." Early in the morning, a camel went to the east and a mouse went to the west. The sun rises in the east and lighted up the westward mountain. A mouse said "I saw the sun." The first animal to see it was a mouse.
God said to a disappointed camel "You have already had 12 parts of them belong to. Your ears are similar to a mouse, belly is alike a cow, paw is alike a tiger, nose is alike a rabbit, neck is alike a horse, hair is alike a sheep, back is alike a monkey,legs are alike a dog, your tail is so much alike a wild boar. That's why you don't have to join the 12 zodiac.
Koala members;
China and Japan have a legend of Jyunishi. You, Mongolian have it, haven't you! But the contents of story are different from ours. It was very interesting. I didn't know yours and learned one.
Vietnam has Jyunishi story but the first animal comes a CAT not a MOUSE.

"Who are you?" "The ghost shows up!" "Meow, mew Guo~" in a deep menacing voice and by a fierce performance. Children sat quietly.
5, Yonezawa Etsuko leader; Reading "Full Moon" translated into Japanese.
An author of this book is Mrs. Rebecca Mbuh from Cameroon. I met her at 2000 N.Y. World women's conference. She is a professor of management at Korean University, now.
"Children's the story-telling competition" hold at the village the night of the full moon.
A story teller is familiar with the history of village people, their culture, the war conquests, special village-wide events and rituals. The villagers used this forum of story-telling as an encyclopedia for recording and storing their most valued traditional treasures. The person who told the most creative form was crowned the King or Queen until the next time the full moon appeared.
The story begins from children' evening chores to the story telling competition.
Boys and girls carrying over-sized pails of water chatted and they hurried to their homes.
As the custom in the village, children from each house in the compound took the evening meal to the house of Mama(first wife) and all ate together.
As we have rarely seen African picture book in Japan, it aroused our interest.
We were lucky to hear a live Chinese and Mongolian language. Mamas are skillful in reading since they read in everyday as a bedtime story.
Thank you for sharing a wonderful time.
Before closing Koala meeting, we enjoyed having Banana and Persimmon that Yonezawa leader brought in.

１０月１１日折り紙教室の報告（Origami)
米澤代表が折り紙を教えます。 参加者は日本人母子8組と外国人母子4組でしたので、ゆっくり折り形を教えることが出来ました。 子供たちはおもちゃで遊んでいる子、折り紙を子供用ハサミで切っている子、折り紙にペンで書いている子がいました。
「折り紙を触るなんて何年振りかしら？」 「折り紙で作れるものは２つ位？」「金魚って作ったことがない。」とママたちは興奮気味でした。
＊ 金魚の作り方
まず、三角に折って、それからこの様に折ります。 これは５月に使う「兜」です。 ここからさらに折って金魚になります。 簡単でしょ！ 沢山金魚を折ってママ手作りのモビールを作りましょう。
＊ 駒の作り方
好きな色の折り紙を3枚使います。 「一枚目の折り方は分かりましたか？」 「二枚目の折り方は簡単です。」 「三枚目は３回折り込んで下さい。」と説明しました。
「３枚の紙が駒になるなんで不思議。」 「駒がくるくる回る・・・すごい！」 「忘れないうちにもっと作りたい！」とママたちは歓声を上げていました。 子供たちも興味を示しています。
お嫁さんの付き添いで来ている中国のお婆ちゃんは興味津々。 上海に持って帰りたいと真剣に折り紙を折っていました。 台湾出身のスーファンインさんに通訳してもらいました。
１０月の誕生会： 倉田 るの君 １才のお誕生日おめでとうございます。 o(^▽^)o
バースデーカードを差し上げます。 皆で♫ ハッピーバースデー ♫を歌いましょう。

最後にボランティアの笠間さんのお土産のお菓子をいただいてコアラの会を終わりました。
I, Yonezawa teach ORIGAMI. I could instruct deliberately how to fold a paper because participants were only 8 couples of Japanese mom and child, 4 couples of foreigners. Children who were playing with toys, cutting Origami with kid's scissors, drawing something on a paper.
Mamas were excited and said, "I wonder how many years passed since I have touched Origami." "I can make a few items with Origami." "I've never made a goldfish."
* Making a GOLDFISH;
First, you fold into a triangle and fold up like this. This is "KABUTO, helmet" for Boy's day in May. Continue folding like this and cut here. Here's a goldfish. It's very easy! Let's make a mobile for your baby.
* Making the TOP;
Choose 3 your favorite color papers from Origami box. I explained like this, "Did you get how to fold the first paper?" "The second paper is easy." " The third paper fold it up into thirds."
"It'd be a miracle that three sheet of papers changed into a top." "The Origami TOP is spinning on the floor. Awesome!" "I want to make more before I forget how to make it." Mamas shouted for joy. Children also show interest in the top. A Chinese grandmother who is an attendant for her daughter-in-law fascinated with Origami. She wanted to bring Origami Shanghai home. Su Fanin san from Taiwan interpreted for her.
Birthday Party for October;
Kurata Runo 1 year old boy. Happy Birthday to you. o(^▽^)o I give you a birthday card.

お嫁さんの付き添いで来ている中国のお婆ちゃんは興味津々。 上海に持って帰りたいと真剣に折り紙を折っていました。 台湾出身のスーファンインさんに通訳してもらいました。

I, Yonezawa teach ORIGAMI. I could instruct deliberately how to fold a paper because participants were only 8 couples of Japanese mom and child, 4 couples of foreigners. Children who were playing with toys, cutting Origami with kid's scissors, drawing something on a paper.
Mamas were excited and said, "I wonder how many years passed since I have touched Origami." "I can make a few items with Origami." "I've never made a goldfish."
* Making a GOLDFISH;
First, you fold into a triangle and fold up like this. This is "KABUTO, helmet" for Boy's day in May. Continue folding like this and cut here. Here's a goldfish. It's very easy! Let's make a mobile for your baby.
* Making the TOP;
Choose 3 your favorite color papers from Origami box. I explained like this, "Did you get how to fold the first paper?" "The second paper is easy." " The third paper fold it up into thirds."
"It'd be a miracle that three sheet of papers changed into a top." "The Origami TOP is spinning on the floor. Awesome!" "I want to make more before I forget how to make it." Mamas shouted for joy. Children also show interest in the top. A Chinese grandmother who is an attendant for her daughter-in-law fascinated with Origami. She wanted to bring Origami Shanghai home. Su Fanin san from Taiwan interpreted for her.

１０月４日ハロウィンパーティの報告（Halloween Party)
コアラ・ハロウィンパーティはどんなことをするの？
みんなでハロウィンコスチュームを着て楽しみます。 仮装大賞を選んだり、カボチャを使った料理を一品持ち寄って、皆で楽しむ会です。
机を片付けてハロウィンパーティ会場を作りました。
HAPPY HALLOWEEN の見出しのまわりにハロウィンの飾りつけをしました。 手伝った人たちのセンスが問われます。 今年はいかがでしょうか？
会員は中川さんが揃えてくれたハロウィンコスチュームを選んで、子供に着せました。 ママ達は子供の写真撮りで大忙しです。
副代表の藤原さんのご主人から子供たちにハロウィンお菓子のプレゼントがありました。 子供たちは並んで藤原さんに「Trick-or-treat」と言うとお菓子がもらえます。
言えない子供は笑顔でOKです。 藤原パパ、毎年差し入れ有難うございます。o(^▽^)o

A vice president Fujiwara san's husband presented Halloween sweets to Koala children. Children lined up in front of Mrs Fujiwara and said "trick-or-treat" to get sweets. Only smiling face is acceptable. Fujiwara Papa! Thank you for your present every year. o(^▽^)o

Thank you for waiting, Halloween Lunch time! There are a lot of foods on the table. There are more hand made sweets than last year. Mrs Fujiwara's cooking is on a professional level. She cooked two big pans of seafood rice porridge, Chinese fried rice, Chinese meat dumpling and Subuta the whole night through. Those were too heavy to carry so that she taxied foods Koala room.
We served Halloween Lunch to Fukushi Pal staff too. About 70 people enjoyed having International foods at the Koala room.
Participants were 10 couples of Japanese mother and child, 20 couples of foreigners. Foreign grandmothers and grandfather also joined us. Everyone has eaten sufficiently. Thank you for all delicious dishes.

９月１３日エプロンシアターの報告（The Apron theater)
エプロンシアターとは？
ママがエプロンを着けます。 エプロンのポケットにうさぎ、象、猫のぬいぐるみがいます。 「うさぎは人参を探します。 １，２，３，４個ある。 美味しい。 ごちそうさま。お腹いっぱいになったら眠くなった。おやすみなさい。」の簡単な文章を９ヶ国語で行います。
言葉の違いやリズムを楽しんでもらいます。

面白いけど飽きてしまった様です。 騒がしくなってきたので中休みして、各国版の動物の鳴き声を表現してもらいました。 猫、犬、鶏、蛙など国によって鳴き声の聞こえ方も違うのですね。 猫は9カ国とも似ていましたがその他は少しづつ違っていましたね。 参加者は外国人母子１６組と日本人母子１４組でした。「え～？ そうなの？ 驚き！」の声も聞こえました。

A mama wears apron. There are a rabbit, an elephant and a cat into pocket on mama's apron. The story is very easy to understand. "A long earned bunny is looking for her favorite carrot. She finds 1,2,3,4 carrots. These are delicious. She is a full tummy now and ready to get some sleep. Good night!" These are translated by 9 different languages. Please enjoy the different tongue and it's rhythm.

It's so fun but children seem to be boring. Let's have a break and give you "Animal's bark show" by nine different languages. A sound of barking as cat,dog,hen and frog are slightly different by countries. Cat barking was similar to all but others were not. Participants were 16 couples of foreign mother and child, 14 couples of Japanese. I heard the voice of " huh! Is that so? Wonder! etc."

You were so nice as actresses. We couldn't understand all except Japanese but enjoyed fully sound of difference languages and intonation. Thank you very much.

９月６日人形劇の報告（A puppet show)
１ヶ月半の夏休み開け、みんな元気にコアラに戻ってきました。 「お久しぶり。 会いたかった。」と笑顔で挨拶していました。
人形劇団の「どんぐり」さんとは１０年前からのお付き合いです。
１、どんぐりさんのテーマソング「どんぐりころころ」の歌から始まります。
２、ねことボール
人形と音楽だけで言葉はありませんがストーリーは良く分かります。
生後６ヶ月を過ぎるとしっかり見ています。
３、カメハメハ
手つくりのカメハメハ人形が踊り、歌います。 コアラ会員も大声で「カメカメハ」と合唱します。
４、いっしょに よいしょ
うさぎさん達がいっしょに「よいしょ」と引っ張ると人参が取れました。 象さんが手伝い大きな
大根が取れました。 わぁ～
今日は生後２ヶ月の赤ちゃんから３才までの子供達とふた組の中国人お婆ちゃんが参加しました。 外国人親子１６組、日本人親子１０組、５０名以上の参加者で賑わいました。 言葉は分からなくても人形の動きで理解できるようです。 人形の動きに驚きの声をあげ、大きな歓声、大きな拍手で「どんぐりさん」は今までで一番やりやすかったのでは？？

After 1.5months summer vacation, children full of vigor came back to Koala room. Members were greeting each other by saying "Long time no see. I missed you so much."
Koala has been associating with the puppet group named "Donguri" since ten years.
1, Start with the theme song "Donguri Korokoro".
2, Cat and Ball
It is easy story that cat stuffed doll and ball are changing place by place with music except words. Even
six months babies were watching the show.
3, Kamehameha
A handmade Kamehameha dolls are singing and dancing. Koala members chorus kamehameha together.
4, Itshoni Yoisho
Bunny pulled out carrot saying "Yoisho (oops-a-daisy)" with friend. An elephant helps to pull out
something. Big radish!! Wow!!
From 2 months babies to 3 years old children and their mothers and also two Chinese Grandmothers enjoyed the puppet show. Participants were 16 couples of foreign mother and child and 10 couples of Japanese. They seemed to understand the meaning by dolls movement, even if they don't know Japanese. They surprised at doll moving, shouted for joy, gave applause to Donguri group. Koala members must be good viewers.

Kristina Morihiro san from Austria made "thank you message card" that was the Star Festival for three volunteers. It was wonderful works. Members said "Oh, beautiful, awesome" skillful". Thank you, Kristina san. I will send them to volunteers soon.

Kristina Morihiro san from Austria made "thank you message card" that was the Star Festival for three volunteers. It was wonderful works. Members said "Oh, beautiful, awesome" skillful". Thank you, Kristina san. I will send them to volunteers soon.

７月１２日英語で遊ぼう！の報告（Let's play in English!)
カナダ出身の西村サンディさんの掛け声で始まりました。 最初から英語で話された。
「皆で玩具を片付けましょう！」
１、ローローローユアボート
「大きな輪になって！」「座って！」「子供をママの膝の上に向き合って乗せて！」
２、幸せなら手をたたこう。
手をたたこう。 足ならそう。 ホーレイと叫ぼう。
次は台湾出身の林佳秦さんのリードで始まりました。
３、ビンゴ （お百姓さんがいました。 犬を飼っていました。 犬の名前はビンゴでした。）
「ビンゴのBで一回ジャンプします。 ２回目はBで２回ジャンプします。 ５回まで」
サンディさんと林さんのリードです。
４、ホッキー ポッキー
「右手を出して、右手を引っ込めて、右手を出して振って、ぐるっと回る」を左手、右足、左足、右肩、左肩、全身の順で歌いながら踊る。
５、ロンドン橋
アンジェさんと瀬川さんが橋になり、その中を親子で音楽に合わせてくぐります。 橋が落ちたところで誰かが捕ります。 その時、マイフェア・レディと歌います。
終わると汗がじわっと出ました。 大人も子供も笑顔でお二人のリードに合わせて踊っていました。良い体操になりました。 西村サンディさんと林佳秦さんは２回もリハーサルされたそうですね。 本当に楽しい時間を有難うございました。 素晴らしいイベントでした。
７月のお誕生会；

お誕生日をお祝いして林さんがチョコレートを米澤代表がティラミスとコーヒーを差し入れしました。
みんなで美味しく頂きました。
参加者の中から「コアラでは毎回、こんな豪華なお菓子が出るのですか？」と聞かれました。
いいえ、違います。 コアラの経費で飲食は出来ません。 気がついた人が自費でお菓子を買って持ってきます。 ティラミスは一人で食べるより皆で食べたほうが楽しいな～と思って持ってきました。

Let's make a circle big and round and sit down. A mama is holding a baby on her lap, face to face.
2, If you're happy clap your hands
Stand up and get ready for some exercise.
Clap your hands, Stump your feet, Shout Ho-ray
Next, Lin Kashin san from Taiwan took the lead.
3, Bingo (There was a farmer had a dog and bingo was his name.)
Let's jump at B of bingo and two jumps at B of Bingo at the second.
Sandy san and Lin san took the lead.
4, Put your right hand IN, take your right hand OUT. Put your right hand IN, and you shake it all about.
Turn yourself around. Following left hand, right foot, left foot, right shoulder, left shoulder, the whole
body. We enjoyed music and exercise.
5, London Bridge
Angie san and Segawa san make bridge. Mommas and kids go under the bridge as the song goes.
The bridge falls to catch the mommy and kid when we sing, "My fair lady."
We perspired after five rhythmical motion. Not only children but mommas were dancing smilingly. We had a good exercise. It seems that Sandy san and Kashin san had a rehearsal two times. Thank you for sharing a nice time with us. It was a wonderful job.
July Birthday Party;
Chin Yuhan(Taiwan) 2 years old girl. Today (7/12) is her birthday. Wataya Ryugin 1 year old boy. Today's entry.

Lin san brought chocolate for her daughter's birthday and Tiramisu and coffee were from Yonezawa leader. We shared sweets. The sweets make us happy too.
Some participant asked to me " I am wondering about this kind of gorgeous sweets would serve at Koala every time." An answer is NO. We can't serve eating and drinking from Koala budget. Delicate people offer them. It must be enjoyable to eat Tiramisu with members than alone.

７月５日七夕祭りと浴衣を着よう！の報告（The Star Festival and Let's wear YUKATA!)
毎年、伊藤重子さんはご自宅の庭の笹竹を９時半までにコアラに届けてくださいます。 今年は浴衣２枚を寄付してくださいました。 いつもコアラを応援してくださり有難うございます。
米澤代表が浴衣を９枚持ってきましたので１１人は浴衣を着ることができます。
中原区役所の依頼で慶応大メディアデザイン研究所の鈴木健大さんがビデオの撮影に来られました。 インタビューを受けた人は野田クーシンさん、首藤菜穂さん、藤原錦芳さんと米澤代表でした。 折り紙や包装紙などで作った飾りを笹竹に紐でつけました。 コアラでは「頭を使ってお金を使わず！」です。 わずかな資金なので色々と工夫しています。
１１時に着付けの先生、矢追三惠さん、井上皆子さんが来られて、浴衣の着付け方を教えてもらいました。 全員が浴衣を着られる様に先生方もスーツケースに数枚の浴衣を持ってきてくださいました。 ところが人が多すぎて部屋の温度が高くなり、蒸し暑くてママ達は浴衣を着たくない様です。 赤ちゃんが泣き出しました。 途中で帰った人もいます。 今日の参加者は２９組５７名でした。 嬉しい悲鳴です。 (*´∀｀*)
皆で写真を撮って終わりました。 それぞれが笹竹を貰って帰りました。 願い事を書いた短冊を加えて本番の７月７日まで窓際に飾っておいてくださいね。

早速、クリスティーナさんが笹竹の伊藤さん、着物の矢追さんと井上さんに贈る御礼の「写真入りメッセージ」を作ってくださいました。 夜空に輝く天の川にコアラ会員の写真が浮かびあがり、感謝の言葉が添えてある。 素晴らしい作品です。 ☺（＾ｖ＾）(-^〇^-) 有難うございまいした。
Ms. Shigeko Ito has been delivered a bamboo tree from her garden to Koala room at 9:30 every year. She donated two sets of Yukata. We really appreciate she has been supporting Koala. I, Yonezawa prepared 9 sets of Yukata, so 11 persons can wear them.
Mr. Takehiro Suzuki, Keio Univ. Media Design Institute took pictures of our activity requested by Nakahara Ward office. Interviewee were Noda Kushin san, Shudo Naho san, Fujiwara Kinpo san and Koala founder Yonezawa. We decorated art works of origami and wrapping paper on the bamboo tree. I used to say to Koala members "Use your brain and don't spend money". We use our own initiative because of limited funds.
Ms. Mie Yaoi and Ms. Minako Inoue who are Kimono professional arrived in Koala at 11:00 and taught us how to wear Yukata. They also prepared several Yukatas for Koala members. Koala room was jammed with people and was rising temperature. Mamas were reluctant to wear Yukata because of mugginess. The babies cried out. Someone left the room. Today's participants were 57 persons. "Cry for joy" to me. (*´∀｀*) We took photos. Each of us brought a bunch of bamboo tree home. Please write your wishes on the piece of paper and tied the bamboo tree and hung it on the window until July 7 when it is the Star Festival.

Our pictures are clearly silhouetted against glorious the Milky Way in the night sky and was written words of gratitude. What a wonderful works, Kristina san. Thank you so much.
