各国の新年の祝い方を紹介してもらいました。
１、アメリカ、 アンジェ キムさん
１月１日は家族そろって新年を祝います。 大みそかの夜には花火が上がり、テレビでも放送します。 見物客はシャンパンやビールを飲みながら見ます。 １２時前からカウントダウンが始まり、みんなで１０，９，８，７、・・・と数えます。 N.Yのタイムズスクエアには人々が集まりくす玉からの花吹雪が舞うのを楽しみます。 お互いに「ハッピーニューイヤー」と挨拶し、キスする人もいます。 新年の抱負を述べます。 ニューイヤーパーティは朝まで続きます。
アンジェさんはパソコンで花火の模様、タイムズスクエアの様子を見せてくれました。
２、韓国、 朴 敬姫さん
韓国では１月１日のお正月ではなく、旧正月を祝います。 今年は２月１０日です。 ３日間は休日です。 朝一番に御先祖様に食べ物（ピカタ）を奉納します。 親戚が集まって一緒に過ごします。 クリスチャンの人も同じことをします。 日本と同じ様にお年玉があります。 チマチョゴリを着た子供たちは大人に尊敬の挨拶をして、お年玉をもらいます。
朴さんはお辞儀の仕方を披露しました。 腰を下ろし、片足を立てて、両手を床につけてお辞儀をしました。
３、中国、 陸 チーさん
i パットを見せながら説明してくれました。
中国は広いので北と南の地域では新年の祝い方が違います。 陸さんは南の出身です。
中国のお正月は旧正月ですから今年は２月１０日です。 お正月の料理は「はっぽう飯」と言います。 もち米を蒸して、色々な具材を混ぜます。 甘いです。 見た目はバースデーケーキみたいです。 尾頭付きの魚も準備します。 意味は「お金がたまる様に！」「健康になる様に！」です。
入口やドアには赤いお札を張ります。 街では露店やドラゴンが見られます。 赤い糸で作った【福】と言う字の飾り物があります。
４、パキスタン、 ファラ イラムさん
パキスタンはイスラム教の国なので新年は祝いません。 皆さんは太陽暦ですが、私達はイスラム暦、月暦ですのでカレンダーが違います。 ラマダン（断食）は日の出から始まります。 日の入りまで食べたり、飲んだり出来ません。 夜にはフィースト（ごちそう）を食べます。 一か月間続きます。一番大きな行事はハッジ（イ・ドゥ・バカラ）です。 １２月にイスラム教徒が行う、メッカへの巡礼の事。 ３日間はお互いの家族を訪問しファミリーパーティをします。 ハッジの時はお金持ちは貧しい人を支援します。 豚肉は食べません。 マトン（羊の肉）、ビーフ、チキンを食べます。 パキスタンの服装を見せてくれました。 ズボンはシャルワール、上着はカミーズ、スカーフはデゥパタと呼びます。 女性同士で会う時はスカーフ無しでもOKですが、男性と会う時はスカーフで髪を隠します。
お祝いの時のチャパティ、豆カレーを作って持ってきてくださいました。
５、日本、 米澤 悦子 代表
１月１日の歌♫ としのはじめの ためしとて おわりなきよの めでたさを まつたけたてて かどごとに いわうきょうこそ たのしけれ ♫を独唱しました。 おせち料理、鏡餅、門松を説明しました。
発表が終わってファラさんのパキスタンの料理を御馳走になりました。
わざわざ朝から私たちの為に作ってくださり、有難うございました。 初めて食べた人もいた様です。 美味しかったです。
それぞれが素晴らしいプレゼンテーションになりました。 お疲れ様でした。 有難うございました。

Introduction on New Year event in your countries.
1, America, Angie Kim san
We celebrate New Year with our family on January 1. The fireworks sparkle at the New Year's Eve and televise. A lot of sightseers watch the fireworks with drinking champagne and beer. The countdown starts before 12:00 and people are counting 10,9,8,7・・・. The Times Square N.Y. gathers many people who enjoy the decorative ball is about to break and the petal are fluttering about in the wind. Greeting "Happy New Year" and kiss each other. Say New Year's resolution. The New Year's party continues until the morning.
Angie san showed us the fireworks display and Times Square N.Y. by her computer.
2, Korea, Park Kyounghee san
We celebrate the lunar New Year not New Year on Jan. 1 in Korea. This year is February 10. Three days are holiday. We dedicate food named "Pikata" to our ancestor the first thing in the morning. Family and relatives get together. The Christian do the same thing. We have Otoshidama(handsel) same as Japan. Children wear Chimachogori(Korean Traditional costume) greet to adult respectfully and get a handsel from them.
Park san showed how to bow. She crouches, standing on one foot, put her hands on the floor.
3, China, Riku Chi san
She showed us i pad and explained.
As China is a large land, the New Year's festivities are different from the North and the South area.
Riku san comes from the South. Chinese New Year is the lunar New Year, Feb. 10. New Year's dish is called "Hattpouhan" which steam the glutinous rice and mix some ingredients. It is sweet. It looks like a birthday cake. We prepare a fish grilled whole that means to pray for "Save a money" and "Good health".
A red tag is hanging on the door or entrance. You can see many street stalls and the Dragon in the town. There are decoration written in [happiness] made by red thread.
4, Pakistan, Farah Iram san
Since Pakistan is Islamic country, we don't celebrate the New Year. You use the solar calendar but we use the lunar calendar. Ramadan starts at sunrise and we can't eat and drink until sunset. We have a feast at night. It continued a month. A biggest celebration is the Haji that is Muslim pilgrim to Mecca in Dec. We have a family party for 3 days. Rich people support the poor in Haji. We eat mutton, beef, chicken but not eat pork.
She showed Pakistan clothes. It is called "trousers-shalwar, coat-kamiz, scarf-dupata." When I meet woman I can be without scarf. But I have to hide my hair when I meet a man.
She cooked Capati and Beans curry for us.
5, Japan, Yonezawa Etsuko representative
Do you know the song of "January 1"? I sang it. I explained New Year's cuisine, round rice cakes offered to the Gods at the New Year's time and New Year's decorative pine branches.
After our presentation, we ate Pakistan food cooked by Farah san. Thank you for delicious food for us. There are someone who eat it the first time.
